Having only one sermon to cover our doctrinal statement on the Spirit forced me to focus on the “majors” … While this is a good thing (as often times there’s confusion about the basic identity and functions of the Holy Spirit), your group will probably have questions that were not answered. I’d encourage you to engage those questions and also be willing to redirect if needed, if the conversation goes too far down a particular rabbit trail. How the Holy Spirit transforms and empowers us would be a great topic for your discussion, perhaps to end your time.
