RCWN MISSION STATEMENT
To create an association of business, professional and community leaders committed to high ethical standards, community service, world understanding and goodwill.

RCWN VISION STATEMENT
The Rotary Club of West Nassau will fulfill a vital role in the ongoing renewal of our community as we develop and support sustainable programs. We will be a catalyst requiring cooperation and participation between government, business and society.We pledge ourselves to increase awareness of Rotary ideals while encouraging and providing opportunity for participation within our Club and by partnership with others. RCWN will turn its vision into action through cooperative economic, social, environmental health and educational initiatives. RCWN meetings and events will provide our diverse membership an opportunity for social interaction, camaraderie and discussion of topical issues. The Rotary Club of West Nassau will be driven by one vision: SERVICE ABOVE SELF.

GOALS FOR 2006/2007
HANDS-ON PROJECTS:• Programme “SURE” – This project is designed to assist
young men who are having difficulty achieving a satisfactory level of academics in the regular education system.
• The Literacy Projects – This project is intended especially for the young men incarcerated at the Simpson Penn’s Institute for Boys.
• Feed the Needy – Once per month members of the West Club will bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated to the needy.
• Assist the Disable Association• Emission Control Project to be considered.• Salvation Army/Stapledon School for the Disabled• Water related project need in the Family Island –Hurricane
Preparedness• Bahamas Red Cross• Persis Rodgers home for the Aged

GOALS FOR 2006/2007 CONT’D
• Assist With Home Repairs – This will enable Rotarians to repair/assist with the homes of two elderly needy persons who will be identified by the Department of Social Services in conjunction with Club Service Committee. Projects to be determined by the Committee.
FUNDRAISING• To Raise $100,000 • The Annual Golf Tournament – This will be a major fundraising event
that will be held during April/May 2007.• The Steak-out/Fun Day – This is another major fundraising event
intended to include the whole family.• Grand Raffle• Health Walk• Night Of Christmas Music• Silent Auction

MEMBERSHIP
Objective: To double the membership within five years – long-term and 5 new members by 6/07• Each One Bring One – To increase the membership of
our Club by 10% 06/07. This will be achieved through positive-action programmes in the community by the members of the West Club. (1st VP Coordinator). RI Award by 15/4/07.
• Reclamation of Former Members – To reclaim former members of the West Club who have become disillusioned with Rotary generally and our Club specifically.

1ST VP GOALS
INTERACT • Ensure that a vibrant Interact Club exist at C. R Walker High
School. • Hold joint meetings at the school at least once per quarter.
• ROTARACT• Ensure that a vibrant Rotaract Club exist at COB which could
act as a spring board for future Rotarians
• MEMBERSHIP• Ensure that the club achieves it objective of 5 new members by 6/07 and RI
recognition of membership development initiative by 15/4/07.Submit 2006/07 Presidential Citation Certificate Form of 1 member by 1/4/07

TWIN CLUB PROGRAMObjective- all clubs in the Caribbean including Districts 7000, 7020 and
7030 are encouraged to partner with a club on the mainland USA-
Rotary Zones 33 & 34 see brochure – (Boca Club) FUNDRAISING
Act as a advisor to the director and committee for fund raising in light of the critical and urgent need to raise funds for Club projects.

SECRETARY GOALS
Report and update club membership information to RI and the district in a timely manner.
Assist the President at Board level and Club level. Ensure that meetings are well organized and Rotarians are advised in
advance of their participation at the weekly meetings. To make the club as effective as possible. Ensure that the club maintains good corporate governance and record
of its rich history. Ensure that the Club meets the objectives for the District Governor’s
Award. To be submitted by ¼ to Dist Secty. Complete Inventory of the Club by 31/7 Update Club By-laws in conjunction with –Advisor AC/ET/SC

TREASURER GOALS
FINANCIAL STATEMENT ensure full accountability of club funds monitoring and reporting on
a regular basis Provide monthly statements at Board Meetings
Ensure that all District dues are paid in a timely manner
BUDGET Produce a draft budget by 30/6/06 for presentation to the Club
Ensure proper hand over from the previous Treasurer and note any anomalies for the purpose of carry over or ongoing obligations
Liaise with auditors to complete the audit at year end for presentation to the club.

Membership – Committee to develop and implement a plan for recruiting and retaining club members – plan required by 31/7 –High priority given to 1st VP – HK.

FUNDRAISING
To raise $100,000 Ensure broad participation by club members in raising
funds to meet its ongoing obligations. Carefully manage the finances associated with fund
raising events and improve the handling of cash and receipts in the operation of the club.
Set fundraising goals and improve reporting to the club. To re-establish a fixed deposit for the club by leaving
surplus in the coffers at the end of the administration

Thank you for the honor and privilege to serve as your President for 2006/07 and I pledge to work diligently to leave the Club in a better position than I met it.
With all of us working together we will get the work done.
A Club Assembly will be held during September when we will discuss fully all the objectives and goals highlighted today.
