Vajna to acquire TV2 ahead of regulatory change

Magyar Broadcasting, a company owned by government commissioner for film Andrew Vajna, has purchased the TV2 media group.

A government decree announced will create billions of forints in revenue for TV2 by allowing it to charge cable TV companies for broadcasting its programming, vs.hu reports, adding that this alone can generate an annual Ft 5 billion for Vajna.
