    General Description of the Unions Villages are isolated and surrounded by

    Haor; locally named as AATI. After flash flood, the entire area gets inundated when erosion of soil takes place due to wave action causing damage of HH & disrupts livelihood.

    The only rice crop (Boro) is cultivated and harvest is subject to sudden flash flood and require high ground for storage.

    People use RCC roads for communication which remains submerged for more than 6 months.

    90% of inhabitants use open toilets. Within 4 to 5 km there is no markets or

    even graveyard for burial. No Electricity

    Killa can be used as storage of crops and shelter for Livestock in high flood season, use as market place, religious and social gathering round the year. Village will be permanently protected from flood/Haor wave action. Graveyard will facilitate funeral during flood and in dry season as well. Improved WatSan .
