Transformation is at the heart of a liberal arts education. Studies show, and employers agree,
that a liberal arts degree enhances analytical aptitude and adaptability. You’ll find that to be
true at LaGrange College, where you’ll gain a broader, deeper knowledge of many subject
areas, along with practical skills – providing flexibility in your career choices.
As a smaller, liberal arts school, LaGrange College offers a beautiful, intimate setting and
easy-going on-campus living. You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive community as you
begin your journey toward self-discovery.

THE SCIENCE OF CARINGIf you’re looking for a rewarding career that combines high-tech with high-touch, the LaGrange Nursing program may be for you. You’ll gain a foundation of knowledge paired with a focus on compassion – both needed for a career in nursing or the pursuit of advanced degrees and certificates. In such high demand today, nurses – especially those with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing – are almost guaranteed jobs right out of college.
Thoughts rule the world.
We call it Jan Term; you’ll call it the amazing adventure of a lifetime. The only program of its
kind in Georgia, our Interim Term during the month of January offers courses designed to
encourage you to explore content outside of your major – and even outside the country.
You might choose to study the Art and Beauty of Barcelona or The Ireland of Yeats and
Joyce. Whatever your interest, we’ll take you there, with a wide variety of courses to
choose from and $2,500 travel vouchers for incoming freshmen to use in their junior or
senior year. If you prefer to stay close to home, you can explore on-campus courses like
The Poetics of Punk or The Science of Photography. Wherever Jan Term takes you,
prepare to be amazed and enlightened.
Internships: From the Hill in LaGrange to Capitol Hill Our Daily BreadSpend a month getting real-life experience by participating in one of many internships available to LaGrange students. You might work in Washington, D.C., in an area related to your academic major or career interest. Or you can participate in an exercise science internship in a school or sports-management setting. Experience your area of study in the real world.
Jan Term can make a dierence in your life by making a dierence in the lives of others. e Our Daily Bread class provides an up-close and personal look at the issue of hunger in America. Students examine the facts, then serve the hungry by working with soup kitchens, food banks and farms.
