Abstract
Two spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae is a serious pest which collected from more than 1000 species of plants and can create severe losses in agricultural products. Multiple generations and a wide host range causing rapid resistance of this pest to pesticides. Therefore it is inevitable to make new compounds for its control. In this study, two new compounds with plant origin, Sirinol and Palizin, manufactured by Kimia Sabzavar Co. Iran, were examined on different stages of mite. The LC50 related to Sirinol and Palizin were 1988.9 and 1936.7 ppm for nymphal stages and 2358.8 and 1708.0 ppm for adult stage, respectively. Palizin at 3000 ppm caused 66.83 % mortality in nimphal stage and 76.12% mortality in adult stage, respectively. Palizin also showed ovicidal activity. This compound could prevent the hatching of eggs in more than 23% of samples at 2500 ppm.
Key words: Palizin, Sirinol, botanicals, two spotted spider mite, bioassay
