them in a pile on the side

Step 7: Put all your Research Cards together in one big pile:

Number them 1-20 (Order doesn’t matter)

the FIRST word in the entry

Step 9: Get out a piece of paper and title it “Works Cited”

Step 10: Write all your Source Cards—in ABC order—onto

your paper with a HANGING INDENT:
