WELCOMEDear Friends and Colleagues,

To participate in the Football World Cup of BarAssociations is to experience great times providing

both sportsmanship and brotherliness, this is what Mundiavocat is offering you.

Since 1983, 11 competitions have already takenplace and seen the Bar Associations of 31 countries

from 5 continents confront one another. The 12th competition will be held

in Antalya, Turkey at a special location.

Accommodation will be provided for all participantsin one single 5 stars hotel.

Finally and above all, there are excellent grasspitches, mostly side by side, which have been

maintained by us. This enables different teams to meet and play more often,

gaining more sporting brotherliness.

The entire region of Antalya in southern Turkey, on the Mediterranean,

has rallied together to welcome you. The 12th Mundiavocat will be a great event.

Bordered in the south by theMediterranean and in the north by theMonts Taurus range, la "Turkish Riviera”,soaked in sun 300 days per year, is an areaof paradise. 1075 km of fine sandybeaches, a very mild climate, verdantplains and hills and turquoise water makethis a heavenly place. The bay of Fethiye in the west and Antakya(Antioche) in the east set the geographicalboundaries of this region; the largest tou-rist centre is Antalya (Attaleia). Antalya, like every region for that matter, has become one of Turkey’s tourist meccas.

While respecting the ethics of the Mundiavocat, that is only autho-rizing lawyers to play and promoting fair play on and off the pitch, the different teams have made this event a success for over 20 years.

Hoping that this state of event remains, the organisers wish to remind the teams of theirattachment to this rule and have therefore decided to create the label “Lawyers Only”,affixed to all Mundiavocat communication and joined to the comment “Be Fair-Play”.

ACTU

Japan, the team of the rising sunAfter several years of continuous participation at Mundiavocat, the Nipponese players of the Tokyo/Osaka Bar, which is characterizedby their courtesy and sportsmanship, will receive on the occasion of the12th Mundiavocat competition, “a special fair play for life trophy”.

Exemplary captainsThere is no doubt that all team captains are exemplary. Indeed, it isnot easy, in addition to the occupation of a lawyer, to manage a foot-ball team (planning of training days, matches, collection of necessaryinformation for Mundiavocat participation, management of last minutechanges…) We would therefore like to say a big cheer to our captains.

A special thought to our missing colleague and friend Me. Renato Loriol, captain of the Bar of Geneva’s team, who left inNovember 2002. He had played in 10 editions of the tournament.

Rome, Tri Campione del Mundiavocat ?This team led by its charismatic coach Franco Pascucci, will theymanage to retain their title gained in 2002 at Malta? In this case, itwould be, after its 1998 victory, “Tri Campione del Mundiavocat”.

A model : The Abidjan team (Ivory Coast)

A dose of good humour, respect of brotherliness, sense of celebration, taste for the beautiful game, the loveliest clothes on parade.. all thesefactors and more make our brothers of Abidjan, the model team ofthe tournament.

From L.A.The 12th edition of Mundiavocat will welcome, for the first time, ateam of US lawyers driven by their captain Bruno Genovese of theLos Angeles Bar Association. Former lawyer at Nice (France), with apassion for football, he has succeeded in persuading around twentyof his Californian colleagues to participate at the next edition.

The most perseveringThe Marseille Bar team has participated at all Mundiavocat competi-tions. Me. SEMELAIGNE, one of its high-profile players has playedevery tournament since 1983.The Swiss team of the Geneva Bar has also participated at 11 compe-titions.
