Wherewearabletechnology(WT)aspartofelectronicperformanceandtrackingsystems(EPTS)isusedinmatchesplayedinanofficialcompetitionorganisedundertheauspicesofFIFA,confederationsornationalfootballassociations,thetechnologyattachedtotheplayer’sequipmentmustbearthefollowingmark:

ThismarkindicatesthatithasbeenofficiallytestedandmeetstheminimumsafetyrequirementsoftheInternationalMatchStandarddevelopedbyFIFAandapprovedbyThe

IFAB.TheinstitutesconductingthetestsaresubjecttotheapprovalofFIFA.Thetransitionperiodrunsuntil31May2018.Explanation

It is important that any EPTS used by players is certified as having satisfied establishedminimum safety criteria.
