TERRE COMPANY SPREADER SETTINGS

NOTE: Use these recommended settings as starting points when calibrating a spreader to achieve the needed application rates. Once equipment is calibrated the technician should make further setting adjustments as necessary, to maintain the proper application rate. Calibrate spreaders regularly to confirm that equipment wear or other factors have not changed the flow rate. Calibration instructions are included in the owner’s manual that was provided by the equipment manufacturer at the time of purchase.

Delivery Policy

Free and prompt delivery will be provided on all orders over $500.00 within our normal delivery areas (except Nursery stock

& Christmas, see Nursery delivery policy.)

For orders under $500.00, a minimum delivery charge of $50.00 will be added to your invoice unless the order can be shipped

Fed Ex. The appropriate Fed-Ex charges plus a handling charge will then be added to your invoice.

NORMAL DELIVERY AREA INCLUDES:

All of New Jersey, North of Trenton & Tom’s River; Rockland, Orange & Westchester Counties in N.Y. State; Connecticut West

of Newport & South of Danbury.

OTHER DELIVERY PROVISIONS:

APPROPRIATE FUEL SURCHARGES WILL BE ADDED TO ALL DELIVERIES!

Deliveries only to PLACES OF BUSINESS, WAREHOUSES OR JOB SITES! No deliveries will be made to private homes

or residential areas.

MINIMUM DELIVERIES are to ONE STOP ONLY!!

All deliveries are TAILBOARD deliveries and assistance MUST be available to receive said delivery.

All deliveries must be checked for count and quality and signed for at the time of delivery.

Notification in advance of delivery will only be made if requested at the time of placing order.

For deliveries, which may meet our $500.00 minimum but are outside our normal delivery area we will ship via common carrier

or most economical way. The freight charge will be added to the invoice.

FORK LIFT DELIVERY is available when requested & when delivery schedule permits at a charge of $75.00

Special delivery arrangements will be made for large orders outside our normal delivery area.

RETURN GOODS POLICY:

Returns will not be accepted without prior authorization from THE TERRE COMPANY. Returned merchandise will be

accepted only in original cartons, and in restock able condition. Merchandise authorized for return is subject to a 20%

restocking charge.

NEW JERSEY SALES TAX:

PLEASE NOTE: Sales to landscape contractors are NOT TAX EXEMPT in NJ and the 6.875% New Jersey sales tax must be

added by us to the invoice unless they qualify under #2 shown below.

1. Merchandise will be exempt when it will be resold with appropriate NJ sales tax collected, and we have been provided

with a properly executed Resale Exemption Certificate (Form ST-3), prior to stock being sold.

2. Merchandise purchased from us and used for federal or state of NJ municipal projects is non-taxable provided we have

received prior to sale, a Contractor’s exempt Purchase certificate (Form ST-7) for each individual order. ALSO,

NOTE: For states outside NJ, sales tax will apply as per those states Tax laws.
