Law Enforcement & Fire Fighters Prayer Breakfast On Wednesday, May 31, 2017, TBN had the honor of hosting tables for the annual Law Enforcement and Fire Fighters Prayer Breakfast. KPAZ Station Manager Oralena Brazier and Joy in Our Town host Vanessa Rose sit on the board for the breakfast, which has connected us with many great leaders in the community. Vanessa was also the emcee for the event. The Breakfast was held at Grand Canyon University, a privateChristian university located in Phoenix, Arizona. We are so blessed for these connections to bring Jesus into every sphere of our community!

The purpose of the Law Enforcement and Firef ighters Prayer is to:

1) Honor our Law Enforcement and Firef ighter individuals.

2) Encourage our f irst responders through prayer.

3) Connect f irst responders with community leaders so we can create a better society.

4) Raise funds to support law enforcement and f iref ighter individuals. Funds are donated to the 100 Club and Franklin Police & Fire High School.

Pastors reached their hands towards Law Enforcement and Firef ighters in attendance at the end of the breakfast as Lorenzo Cabrera released a blessing on our f irst responders.

Franklin Police & Firef ighter Academy Our local Joy in Our Town continues to feature phenomenal guests who are bringing Christ centered solutions to our community. We were so blessed to interview Lorenzo Cabrera, the principal of Franklin Police & Fire Academy. Lorenzo is a Christian that has adopted many Bible based principles into the school’s curriculum. Lorenzo openly practices his faith and encourages his students to do the same. Walk around the campus and ask any student what the word integrity means to them – they will tell you it’s doing the right thing when no one is looking. Franklin Police & Fire Academy equips high school students with their diploma and the skills needed to pass the rigorous testing to become an off icer or f iref ighter. Franklin is the only public high school in the state to earn the coveted distinction as a blue ribbon school. This incredible segment of Joy in Our Town will be airing soon.

Pastor Gus is Married! We are so thrilled for our friend and local paid programmer from Fire & Water International Church, Pastor Gus Korkotselos, who spent Memorial Day weekend wedding his beautiful bride, Sheila. Pastor Gus is an incredible friend to the TBN Phoenix team and has a program called There is An Answer airing on TBN Salsa and locally on KPAZ, TBN Phoenix. For over 20 years, Pastor Gus has been serving Jesus and the community, always choosing to put Jesus f irst before relationships. So it is with great joy and thankfulness that we celebrated how God has fulf illed the desire of Pastor Gus’ heart by bringing him a beautiful bride and life partner. We are looking forward to all the great things God is going to continue to do through Fire & Water International Church and this match made in Heaven!

TBN at the Heritage Awards

The Arizona Chamber of Commerce hosted their Heritage Awards this month. Joy in our Town host Vanessa Rose was asked to give a prayer at the event. The Arizona Heritage Award honors individuals whose accomplishments and commitment to Arizona are recognized not only in Arizona but also nationally and internationally.

This year, Larry Fitzgerald an American football wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League was honored at the event.

You Are Crowned with His Glory! We remember this month and always the good opinion God has for us his children.
