Why don’t I just do the diet and exercise plan to lose weight? 

There is no doubt that diet and exercise are key to weight loss. This is why they are included in our

plan. That being said, the laser has the ability to target certain areas that may poorly respond to d

and exercise. If someone were to do just the laser, they would lose inches, but when you add the

rest of our program you enhance whatever gains you would have received from the laser alone.

Here is an example;

Erica does just the laser and loses 7 ½ total inches around her abdomen.

Adding the diet she loses 10 total inches around her abdomen.

Adding the exercise and supplements plan she loses 11 total inches.

Important tips & reminders

Thanks for your interest in Laser Body Contouring. Here are a few tips and reminders before

you get started.

Come to your appointments hungry, do not eat for 90 minutes before your appoitments.

Remember the laser releases fat from fat cells, once released your body can use this fat for

fuel.

Do not eat for 90 minutes after your treatment. Again this is because we want your body to

use the fat released for energy instead using energy from a meal.

Drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water per day. For example a 200 pound

person should drink at least 100 ounces of water, or about 10-12 glasses. Some of the fat thais released will not be burned as fuel, but excreted by your digestive system instead. Water

helps flush the fat out.

Whatever fat loss you will experience with the laser can be amplified if you eat correctly,

optimize your nutrient intake and exercise. Dr. Ruscio and Giang are an experts in using

exercise, diet and nutrition to affect metabolism. They have designed a synergistic program

where diet, exercise and nutrition will all work together to enhance your laser treatment

results.

Exercise immediately after your treatment if possible. As an optional part of your program D

Ruscio has designed an exercise program for you, it can be done in 20 minutes. If you can’t

exercise right after, make sure you are exercising at least 3 times per week.

A nutritional supplement and dietary program is also included as an optional part of your

program. Please follow these for the best results.

We need to be able to access whatever area you want to have treated. Please remember to

wear clothing that will allow this, a bathing suit usually works well. We also take before andafter photos so that you can see the results. Please remember to wear something that will

allow this. Photos are not required, but recommended so that you can see the results.

You should have a complete exam with your doctor before starting any nutritional program.

In terms of diet, the most important action you can take is to limit your intake of carbohydrates. The reason for this is carbs will turn off fat burning enzymes and hormones your body. Remember, right now we want to maximize fat burning! The magic number is 2If you can limit your daily intake of carbs to 25 grams for the first 2 weeks you will supercharge your fat loss. This can be tough for some to do, the first few days can be hard. Thereason why this is hard is because the body is adapting to burn fat as its primary energysource; so imagine the benefits you will experience from this. There are many importantconcepts we could cover when discussing a healthy diet. However, we have decided to kee

simple and give you a few key concepts most important to maximize your fat loss whileundergoing Laser Body Contouring. Here is a list of the key concepts.

• Limit your carbs to 25 grams per day for the first 2 weeks, then gradually increase to nomore than 100 grams per day to maintain fat loss.

• Eat every 3-5 hours.

• Eat enough to satiate you, but not enough to “stuff” you. 

• Each meal should consist of a protein and a vegetable. – Example; chicken and broccoli, eggs and tomatoes, salmon and asparagus… 

• Eat breakfast!

• Do not eat any wheat, rye or barley. So no whole grains, breads, bagels, cereals, pastacookies, waffles or flour of any kind. These foods are both inflammatory and high incarbs and will be a double strike against fat metabolism.

• Please avoid dairy and soy.

• Use the food matrix below to help make different meal options. Combine one proteinone vegetables and add fat and spices to taste.

• This diet will also help lower blood pressure, cholesterol, increase energy, increase sexdrive and help you sleep better at night!

• We recommend you fill out the accompanying diet log so that we can monitor yourprogress.

• Remember, do your best. You don’t have to be perfect! If you can do this 80% of thetime you’re doing great!

Program Notes: 

Exercises on a given day, lets take day A for example,

should be performed back to back, without rest, as

one giant set. So you would do 1a, then right to 1b,

then right to 1c….until you complete 1g. Then you

can rest for 1-3 minutes. Then you will repeat this

2 to 3 times. If you need rest before the rest point,

that’s ok. Take the minimal amount of rest needed and then get back to it. The reason for

little rest is because the less rest you take between exercises, the more fat burning and anti

aging effects are obtained. So remember, the less you rest, the more fat you burn and the

quicker you’re done! This program should take between 20-30 minutes to complete.

You should have a complete exam with your doctor and be cleared for vigorous exercise

before starting this exercise program.
