Contact Company Profile Concordia Shipyards B.V.

Concordia Shipyards is a typical representative of the ‘new thinking’ in the Werkendam shipbuilding industry. No longer argue “because we always did it that way”, but in place of that innovatively looking for possibilities.

Concordia and Instalho has acquired a very well reputation with building inland navigation hulls in China. As one of the first Dutch shipbuilding companies, Concordia was already active in this large country in 1999. Other proof of energetic actions is the cooperation with Instalho Shipbuilding. So it became possible to take over K. Damen Shipyard in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, the name is changed into Holland Shipyards B.V. With the takeover of this yard, Concordia and Instalho have acquired sufficient capacity for the completion of the hulls.

HullsIn the past years Concordia increased into an allround intermediair. Core of the activities is building vessels, for the most part abroad, but also in The Netherlands. These vessels are produced to the wish of the principals, and de-livered as completed vessel or as hull. Excellent surveyors show time and time again that the hulls are build entirely according the (standard settings / rules). A clear commit-ment to the requirements for the vessels from the world, Europe and The Netherlands.

CompletionBesides building hulls Concordia is also active with the completion of the hulls. Large advantage hides in the fact that everything could be completed indoors . In Werkendam the completion take place at Instalho Shipbuilding, also member of the Scheepsgroep Werkendam. A permanent team of subcontractors lays here the hand to your life work. Second completion facility for Concordia is Holland Shipyards in Hardinxveld-Giessendam. This former yard of K. Damen offers a reliable infrastructure with 26.000 m² and own quay.

Sales SupportConcordia Shipyards B.V. is also a specialized in advising and supporting the customer with purchasing and selling of used ships. The owner of Concordia, mr. C.H. Kornet grew up in a maritime family and is active as owner of several inland navigation vessels. That close interaction with water ensures that they know at Concordia what lives in the inland shipping. Knowing what the desires and requirements are of a modern inland navigation vessel.
