Cape Town 2010 was held in collaboration with The World Evangelical Alliance.

Delegates in Cape Town 2010

• The most representative body of the evangelical church ever assembled.

• Over 4,000 leaders from 200 countries• +300 observers (Catholics, Anglicans,

Lutherans, etc)• 40% of the delegates were 20-40 years old• Women represented 30% of the delegates

• 1200 missionaries, 1200 pastors, 1200 theologians/ missiologists, 600 leaders (business, media, health and government)

• +400 delegates from North America• 330 delegates from Latin America• +1200 volunteers

My Role In Cape TownMy Role In Cape Town

• I represented the Hispanic/Latino Missionary movement from USA (Comhina), as well as the School of Divinity.

• I served as Group Table Leader during the congress. My main role was to facilitate the daily group discussions and theological reflections.

Multiplex Sessions

• There were 24 multiplex sessions and some 160 dialogue groups functioning as part Cape Town 2010.

• They explore a range of issues like prosperity theology, globalization, creation care and Christian interaction with people of other faiths and traditions.

Lausanne Global Conversation

• Organizers extended its reach into over 650 GlobaLink sites in 91 countries and drew 100,000 unique visits to its website from 185 countries during the week of the Congress.

• My participation in Cape Town 2010 increased both my Biblical perspective and global competence.

• I was blessed by the Ethnic Diversity of people from all the corners of the globe…it was a wonderful picture of how heaven is going to be.

Lausanne 1989. China is unable to attend Cape Town 2010. The Lausanne participants welcome their Chinese brothers and sisters even in their absence.
