LAUREATE performed extremely well in Syngenta trials over the last two years. The below graphs show the average yield and % grain nitrogen results from across the country demonstrating the yield and high quality capabilities of this spring barley variety.

LAUREATE LAUREATE
Distilling: LAUREATE out yields the market leading malt distilling variety significantly at each treatment, with % grain nitrogen only slightly behind Concerto at each rate tested. This suggests that total N in line with normal practice should achieve the malt distilling specification as well as significantly increased yields!
Brewing: In both Syngenta and AHDB RL trials, LAUREATE has a higher % grain nitrogen than the popular brewing variety RGT Planet, and gives very similar yields. This suggests that a lower total dose of nitrogen may be required to achieve similar yields and % grain nitrogen. This is highlighted at 150kg total N applied to LAUREATE.
