Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship Program

e goal of the program is to cultivate the next generation oftheater professionals by providing the highest standard of trainingthrough immersion in the art and business of producing theater.Arena Stage provides in-depth, hands-on experience with seasonedprofessionals. Fellows work in the areas of artistic and technicalproduction, arts administration, and arts education andcommunity outreach. Training is supplemented with discussionsand workshops with directors, designers and senior staff whoprovide insight into the overall management of the theater.

Fellowships are only available for full-time, full-seasoncommitments of 38–44 weeks. Arena Stage provides a weeklystipend. ey are unable to provide housing.

American Political Science Association Minority Fellows Program

e Program designates up to twelve stipend minority fellowseach year. Fellows with stipends receive a $4,000 fellowship that is disbursed in two $2,000 payments—one at the end of their firstgraduate year and one at the end of their second—provided thatthey remain in good academic standing. Project Involve

Project: Involve is Film Independent’s signature diversity program,dedicated to increasing diversity in the film industry by cultivatingthe careers of under-represented filmmakers. e program, whichruns from October through June, selects filmmakers from diversebackgrounds and filmmaking tracks. During the nine-months, the Fellows are paired one-on-one with a mentor from the filmindustry, assigned to a team to make a short film incorporating a given theme, and attend monthly filmmaking workshops andother educational seminars.
