First Floor (Neeleman Hangar)

The �rst �oor of Lassonde Studios is an innovation space for all students called the Neeleman Hangar. The �oor includes event space, lounge areas, Miller Cafe, tools, fabrication space and startup o�ces.

Residential Floors (2-5)

Lassonde Studios has four residential �oors above the �rst �oor, which is called the Neeleman Hangar and is open to all students on campus. The residential �oors all have the same �oor plan with the exception of the balcony. Only the second �oor has a balcony, as shown in the image below.

Above are sample layouts of the single and double rooms. Each resident is provided a bed, wardrobe, dresser and desk inside the room. Single and double rooms are clustered into communities, and residents in those areas share a living area and bathrooms. At left is the shared living area.

Pod ~70 sq. ft.

Each pod includes a full bed, TV, dresser and wardrobe. Each

resident also receives a separate storage locker outside of the pod.

The pods are clustered into communities of 18 pods.

Residents in these areas share a community kitchen, three living areas and bathrooms. The pods

are private sleeping areas that measure 7x10 feet.

Each �oor has �ve unique lofts that all

have a unique layout. The lofts have room for

three or four beds. Residents share a living

area, TV, kitchen, bathroom and a

sleeping area.

Each of the four residential �oors have a di�erent theme with matching design, tools, equipment and activities. The themes apply to the community areas on each �oor, not the private spaces. All residents can use the themed spaces on any �oor and participate in all activities.
