One day, Cornelius had a vision
of an angel of God. The angel
said to go and get Peter who
was staying with Simon the
tanner.
A centurion called Cornelius ,
lived in Caesarea. Although he
was not a Jew, he and his
family feared God. They
prayed to God regularly and
gave to those in need.
Cornelius immediately sent
two of his servants and a
faithful soldier, to Peter in
Joppa.
Meanwhile, Peter went up to
the rooftop at Simon’s house to
pray and he fell into a trance.
He saw the heavens open and a
large sheet full of unclean
“Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied.
“I have never eaten anything

to stay and the next day they
travelled to Caesarea.
Cornelius had gathered his
relatives and close friends
together. Peter said, “I now
know that God accepts people
from every nation who fear
and obey Him.” Peter then told
them about Jesus and his
death and resurrection.
As Peter was speaking the Holy
Spirit was poured out on the
Gentiles. Peter then baptised
Cornelius and his household.
