History

• 1979 Swedesurvey department with Lantmäteriet• 1993 Swedesurvey AB established as a State

owned company, controlled by the Ministry• 2008 New department within Lantmäteriet for

cooperation between authorities, twinning.

• Turn-over for twinning cooperation, about 60 million SEK per year.

Aerial photographs efficient for identification of unauthorised structures.

When bringing information from various sources together, defects can be detected.E.g. 40 % of the buildings in the pilot area was not valued.

Cooperation between local and central level is a perquisite for the success of UMLIS.

Accurate information on persons are required for a complete secure system.

Property owners are in general positive to the system. Give them information about how much their community / block is paying in relation to the services they require
