Yoga Class in Progress Fridays in December (6th, 13th, 20th), 12-1pm Aizu Keikodo 1st Floor Fitness Studio Our yoga classes have kicked off to a great start! These classes begin with breathing prac- tice and evolve to more difficult po- sitions. Simple Chinese expres- sions are also in- troduced. The classes take place in Chinese with Japanese interpretation. Feel free to sign up for just one class, or all three. Association News Language Volunteers Meeting Sunday, December 8th, 3pm-4:30pm AWIA Office (5th floor of Tsutaya Bldg) Our last language volunteers meeting of the year will take place on the 8th. Mr. Ishii from the Aizuwakamatsu Tourism Bureau will be giving a 1-hour talk about the citys efforts to increase inbound tourism. The remaining half hour will be an open dialogue where volunteers can share their experiences lead- ing tours and their ideas about furthering tourism in Aizu. This is a rare chance to have your voice heard by people directly involved with the citys tourism. Please let us know by December 7th if you can attend. Save the date: New Year’s Potluck Party & English Café Join us for our annual New Years Potluck Party, which will take place on Sunday, January 26th from 12:30-2:30pm. Stay af- terwards for our Winter English Café from 3-4:30pm, where we will be talking about new years traditions around the world in English. Event Report: Nihongo De Hanasou At last months Nihongo De Hanasou, we enjoyed listening to the speeches of ten people from Nigeria, China, Vietnam, the Philip- pines, Sri Lanka, Australia, and the USA. Everyone gave brilliant speeches demonstrating their amazing Japanese speaking skills! Thanks to the speakers and the Japanese volunteers for all their hard work, and to the audience for coming to listen! AWIA Winter Holiday Closings Our office will be closed for the winter holi- days from Sunday, December 29th to Fri- day, January 3rd. We wish you a merry and bright holiday season! See you in 2020!

    Station. The Station Café

    will be running on special

    midnight hours, and there

    will be open to visitors.
