Language Arts Spelling focus: -air/-ear words Comprehension Focus: Determining Importance ELI Assessment, continued… Writing We will review adjectives and writing descriptively. Math Measurement Problem Solving – making a table to solve word problems Social Studies/Science We will continue learning about different famous individuals in history. Students will finish presenting their research poster to the class. We will have a report card assessment over some of our historical figures. Technology We are working on our Typing skills in a program called Type to Learn. Ask your child about typing from “home row”! Mrs. Soshay will be our sub. Miss Horak will also be here! Feb 12 th - 100 th day of school Feb. 24 th - deadline for the Six Flags Read to Succeed Reading Log Feb. 14 th – Class Valentine’s Day Party 12:30…hope you can come! Feb. 20 th – Spring and Class Picture Day Feb. 21 st – End of 4 th Six Weeks February 3-7, 2014 See HW sheet in your child’s binder. Also, if your child hasn’t completed Popcorn Math, you still need to be working on that each night. . Conferences My conference period is 1:50-2:40 each day. I’d be happy to meet with you.
