And just like that it is a new year and a new decade to boot! This past year was an exciting one around Langley FBC. The images you see on the next page are a reminder of many of the things we were part of during 2019.

Looking back I am happy to have finally been part of the Valley parade and hospitality tent. What a great ministry to the community! I was inspired by the overwhelming success of the Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry. Vacation Bible School was a big week for our church. Christmas was really special with new activities like Hanging of the Green service and the Advent wreath each Sunday in December. The choir did a wonderful job leading us in worship with the Christmas cantata.

It was also exciting to introduce Passover to Langley back in the Easter season. We had a big crowd and I can’t wait to do it again this Easter.

Don’t forget that when 2019 began we didn’t have a steeple on our sanctuary. February brought the excitement of our new steeple being installed on the building and the magnifi-cent sound of the chimes returning to the valley.

I am looking forward to 2020 and all we have ahead of us. One big addition for this year is our Drama Ministry. Our cast has just started rehearsing for the drama coming up in April. Mark your calendars now for April 18, 19 and April 25, 26 as Langley will present the drama, “An Easter Carol” based on the story of doubting Thomas. Pray for our cast and crew as

they rehearse and listen out for opportunities for you to get involved.

As I close, remember how God blessed us in this past year. He changed lives. New stories were written. In faith I believe that God has great things for us in this new year. Trust Him. Seek Him. Obey Him. Let’s move forward in faith. God bless you all and Happy New Year!
