WelcomeFrom the MP for
Langley-Aldergrove
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our wonderful community. As the representative in Canada’s House of Commons for Langley-Aldergrove, I am pleased that you have decided to make Langley your home.
Whether you have come from near or far, it takes time to get to know your new community. Sometimes you may find yourself in need of assist-ance and I would like to let you know about some of the services that are available to you.
One of my important dut-ies as your representative in the House of Commons is to assist you when dealing with federal agencies. My staff and I are ready to help you cut through “red tape” and secure the services and benefits paid for by your tax dollars.
If you require Government of Canada assistance, please feel free to call my constitu-ency office at 604-534-5955 to make an appointment.
If you wish to make your opinion known on any feder-al matter, please email me at [email protected].
Langley is a kind and caring community with a rich local history, a strong entrepreneurial spirit and established indus-tries that are vital to our economy. It is an ideal community for doing business, working, volunteering, raising a family and retiring.
Welcome home.Sincerely,
Mark Warawa,MP Langley-Aldergrove

Driving, riding, or walking will get you around Langley.

Langley is a sizable com-munity – getting from one side to the other or from Langley to nearby cities is
an important consideration. The old standby is driving.
Langley’s road network includes a north-south and east-west grid, with numbered streets and avenues. This makes it easy to determine in which direction your destination lies.(Don’t worry if it seems confusing at first, the locals will be happy to explain!)
One of the big changes coming to the local roads will be a new highway interchange. Joining the cloverleafs at 200th, 232nd, and 264th Streets will be a new on and off ramp system at 216th Street.
The $59 million joint feder-al-provincial-municipal project will start construction in 2017 and is expected to be complete in 2019.
Part of the project will include widening the Trans Canada Highway from 202nd Street to 216th Street, expanding it from four lanes to six.
To cross the Fraser River to the north into Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, take the Golden Ears Bridge by following 200th Street.
Langley has its own border crossing into the United States at the south end of 264th Street in Aldergrove.
Public transit is only expanding slowly in Langley, but the Carvolth Interchange at 86th Avenue and 202nd Street allows access to the 555 Express Bus, which takes rid-ers directly from the local park and ride to a SkyTrain station north of the Fraser.
Cycling lanes are being added in several Langley neighbourhoods as they develop, with plans for more lanes in the Willoughby area and in Langley City along 203rd in the near future. There are multiple bicycle shops scattered around
Langley, and recreational cyclists are frequent sights on rural roads, particularly near Fort Langley and in South Langley.
Some of the newest and oldest forms of transportation are also available. Horses are a common sight on the side of rural Langley roads, particularly in South Langley near the Campbell Valley Regional Park and its many horse trails. Kayaks and canoes are seen every day on the Bedford Channel to the north of Fort Langley.
Or you can take flight, with private aircraft at the Langley Regional Airport zipping into the skies on a daily basis for practice or simple enjoyment.
