Eagle Battalion 2010
• Event: Land NavigationMission: Eagle Battalion conducts Fall Land Navigation training
exercise IVO MR 5711 3410 Fort Stewart NLT 1030 18 SEPT 2010 IOT familiarize nursing cadets with land navigation and prepare MS III cadets for LDAC.
Key Tasks: • 100% accountability of all personnel and equipment for entire event• Setting up the land navigation course.• An 80% pass rate for cadets both day and night.• Movement to and from training sites.• Recovery of all equipment and training aids upon arrival back on campus.

• 0500 ADVON departs• 0930 BN formation• 1030 Main body departs• 1130 BN formation at Land Nav site• 1200 Land Nav station training begins• 1330 Day Land Nav begins• 1830 Day Land Nav ends• 2000 Night Land Nav begins• 2300 Night Land Nav ends• 0000 NTL time for departure• 0100 Recovery operations

• Worn or Carried: ACUs, LBE w/two full canteens and ammo pouches, red lens light, compass, protractor, pen. pencil, paper, PT belt, ID card and ID tags, whistle, eye pro .
• Wet Weather Bag or Trash Bag: wet weather top, tan tee-shirt, socks, spare batteries, foot powder – Note: bags will be packed in buddy teams and
consolidated by squad in a duffel bag

Termination of Training
• If training is terminated because of unforeseen circumstances or time has elapsed– 3 consecutive air horns will sound from TOC
and Water points – Vans with Cadre will roam course honking
horns.– Cadets will switch to white light

Recovery Operations
• Upon return to GSU after Land Navigation Alpha Company will provide:
• 4 cadets to unload all water cans and empty if necessary.• 6 cadets to help unload all additional equipment in trailer. • 2 cadets to clean vans.• 2 cadets to ensure that nothing is left on buses.
