• AEP - Turn in your old appliance through the Appliance Recycling Program and:

Get paid - Receive a $50 incentive check plus FREE, convenient pick up of your old appliance.

Save Money and Energy - Remove an old working refrigerator or freezer from service and save up to $150 a year in

energy costs. Protect the Environment - 95% of the unit is recycled and chemicals are properly disposed. This program is

funded by AEP Ohio and is available to its electric customers residing in Ohio.

Customers must own the unit(s) being recycled. Refrigerators and freezers must be empty, in working condition and a

minimum of 10 cubic feet in size, utilizing inside measurements. AEP Ohio contracts with JACO Environmental, an

appliance recycler, to pick up and recycle refrigerators and freezers that are in working condition. The $50 incentive

check will be mailed to you 4-6 weeks after the appliance collection.

Please note: Program funding is limited. Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limit of two

appliances per customer. Sign up online or call 1-877-545-4112 to schedule your pickup. For additional information

about program participation or to check on the status of a rebate, please call 877-545-4112.
