PRESIDENT’S JULY MESSAGE Greetings Friends & Neighbors,

Last year the BBQ at Moraga Hacienda de Los Flores was a huge hit so this year we will be having it there again in September. The setting is incredibly beautiful and we are protected by the surrounding hills if there is wind. If you have been reluctant to come to the annual BBQ because of past experiences in the Saint Mary’s Quad, we hope that you will come to the beautiful Hacienda this year.

The entertainment keeps getting better because of your wonderful suggestions. Don’t miss our July entertainment featuring the Amethyst Trio. Lara is a harpist who has been awarded “Best Of” for the past 7 years in a row. Mark your calendars and bring a guest or two.

A few people have asked about who is paying for the Lamorinda Spirit Van. The Spirit Van survives on contributions from the Town of Moraga and the City of Orinda. The organization also receives money from the government and the fares they charge other users. Since the Lamorinda Movers contribute to the Spirit Van, the organization shows its appreciation by driving our members to the Monday dinners at no charge.

If you are willing and able to help the Movers, will you please let me know? There are many areas in which we could use some help to continue to improve your experience!!

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Keith
