Lamennais Vocational Training Centre In Moshi The vision is to
bring young people/ youth into the 21 st Century through innovation
and training in practical technical skills so that they may become
positive contributors to their societies. The Mission is to produce
self reliant citizens who are well formed in character and
knowledge of technical skills. The school opted to provide
Vocational skills to disadvantaged youth especially to primary and
Secondary school leavers. Besides in Tanzania subjects taught in
primary and secondary schools provide mainly theoretical and
academic-based knowledge falling short of providing practical
skills necessary for a school leaver become self-reliant.
Consequently most of the youth drift into petty businesses which
fail to satisfy their very basic needs 1.Life Skills. 2.Computer.
3.Mechanics. 4.Tailoring. 5.Electrical Installation. 6.Masonry.
7.Carpentry and Joinery 8.Entrepreneurship CONCLUSION THE LAMINNAIS
FAMILY NEED TO PUT MUCH EFFORTS IN THIS KIND OF VOCATIONAL
TRAININGS TO YOUNG PEOPLE BECAUSE, MOST OF THE DISADVANTAGED YOUNG
PEOPLE LACK SKILL TO HELP THEM BE SELF-RELIANT, AND SERVE GOD IN
