Laissez Faire
leadership
delegate their power to another
person• who decides everything on their behalf.
bigger organizations • people with good
talents are available at lower
ranks. Teams are
dependable, task-oriented,
and highly skilled
COMMENT
We consider that this type of leadership is recommended when followers possess great abilities and maturity, because it allows them choose to cooperate freely and make decisions on their own without the leader’s intervention.
On the other hand, this type of leadership is not appropriated to all cases, cause followers can misunderstand this freedom and consequently create a difficult work environment; moreover laziness can be contagious and can lead to serious problems inside the group.
