Hawaiian native forests are home to more than 10,000 native plants and animals found

nowhere else on earth. Their preservation is vital to the survival of cultural traditions,

and to the health and well-being of current and future generations on our Islands.

As part of our continued efforts to better our environment, Four Seasons Resort Huala-lai

and Hawaiian Legacy Hardwoods have partnered to create the Legacy Tree Program,

a unique reforestation initiative dedicated to restoring Hawaii’s endangered forests.

A legacy koa tree will be planted in commemoration of your union at Four Seasons

Resort Huala-lai. We hope this tree will become a symbol of your love, with deep roots

on Hawai’i Island. This initiative is part of the global efforts of Four Seasons Hotels and

Resorts to plant 10 million trees around the world.

The Legacy Tree Program provides you the opportunity to sponsor additional native Koa

Legacy Trees. Each tree is geo-tagged with an RFID chip, which provides the tree’s exact

location, so as the tree grows, you can track it online through applications such as

Google Earth. On a future visit, you can schedule a guided tour of the Koa forest,

visit your tree and even plant additional Legacy Trees yourself.

Over a 50-year lifetime, a single Legacy Tree will generate 13,000 pounds of oxygen;

sequester 8,200 pounds of carbon dioxide; recycle 200,000 gallons of water; and provide

$62,000 worth of air pollution control and $31,250 worth of soil erosion control.

Marriage License• A marriage license must be obtained in the State of Hawai‘i prior to the wedding.

• Four Seasons will make an appointment for you to meet with a marriage license agent.

• Both parties to the marriage must appear in person before the marriage license agent with one (1) form of government issued photo identification.

• If you have been married before, you will be required to show legal documentation if your divorce has occurred within two (2) months before the wedding date.

Age Guidelines• You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.

• If you are under eighteen (18) years of age, written consent from parents, a legal guardian, or family court order is required.

M U S I C I A N S A N D E N T E R T A I N M E N TWe have a wide variety of entertainment options available to us on Hawai‘i Island. From Hawaiian trios to high-energy cover bands and string quartets, we are able to arrange any type of entertainment for your event.

P H O T O G R A P H Y A N D V I D E O G R A P H YPhotography is such an important element to a wedding as the images of your special day will last forever. We have great relationships with proven photographers that have extensive experience working with our clientele. Your Four Seasons Wedding Manager will discuss the different approaches of our photographers and present you with the choices that suit your sense of style and personality.

If you decide to use a photographer or videographer who is not part of our preferred vendor list, an additional charge may be assessed for bringing someone in. Please contact your Wedding Manager for more details.

W E D D I N G C A K E SThe wedding cake is one of the signature style elements to any wedding. Our Executive Pastry Chef will create the custom wedding cake of your dreams.

R O M A N T I C D I N N E R Your Wedding Manager can arrange a private sunset dinner for you and your fiancé that will be a part of cherished wedding memories. The sunset and flickering tiki torches will illuminate our Executive Chef ’s creations.

O U T D O O R E V E N T SThe Resort reserves the right to make a final decision to move any outdoor function to an indoor function room to expedite the set-up due to inclement weather. The decision to move a function must be made no less than three (3) hours prior to scheduled start time. Suitable back-up space will be protected with all outdoor events. Back up space provided for the ceremony and/or dinner reception shall be confirmed one-hundred twenty (120) days prior to wedding date.


G U A R A N T E EA guaranteed guest count is required at least 72 business hours prior to the event. You will be charged for the guaranteed guest count, or the actual guest attendance, whichever is greater. If we are not advised of a guaranteed count, the tentative number of guests will become the guaranteed count. Should your guaranteed guest count drop to less than your tentative guest count, the Resort reserves the right to reassign the function to a more suitable location. Should your guaranteed count fall below the minimum requirements for selected menus, the Resort shall charge the minimum guest requirement guarantee. There will be a minimum labor charge.
