In the mean time there are simple/important steps you as a racer can take to ensure you have no issues in this area. 1) Keep the body & brackets straight. Not only will your car be cleaner aerodynamically, it will also look better. 2) Keep the nose & flaps straight & properly mounted. If mounted too high the nose will not “seal off,” allowing air to get underneath creating lift. If mounted too low it will drag or catch on the track causing handling issues. Holes punched through the front of the car(nose, flaps, panels) cause aero lift. Front tires sticking out beyond the body causes aero drag. 3) Keep the spoiler straight & intact. The spoiler is one of the most important pieces on your race car. Keep it in good shape & at the proper angle(85º). 4) Keep wheel openings straight. Besides looking better it keeps the tire & body properly aligned. Also a tire catching the body can ruin the tire and kill handling.

Aerodynamics

Although it pains us to say so Aerodynamics have become an Important part of dirt late model racing. Whether or not this is good for short track racing it is a subject we will continue to address as our influence in the sport allows.

2014 & UP Lower Control Arms

The original Lazer X 1 pc. lower control arms 21197(LS) & 21198(RS) utilized a turnbuckle on the strut end. Although gor-geous for adjusting they were in fact the weak link. New lower arms 21197-1 & 21198-1 are a direct replacement & use a 5/8” Right hand rod end without a turnbuckle.
