The song spreads the message to rejoice in what makes you unique and special.

This celebratory single was released on February 11, 2011. Millions of people love the positive message of the song, which helped make it the fastest selling single in iTunes history.

It received over 1 million downloads in just 5 days.

Although some of Lady Gaga’s songs and actions have been controversial, “Born this Way” sends the encouraging message to “rejoice and love yourself today, ‘cause baby, you were born this way.’”

It is an anthem telling listeners to love themselves just the way they are.
