The origins

“Ladies of the World Against Violence”, Milan, 2014. "Look at the lips of the paintings of Diana Avgusta Stauer. Not the eyes, but the lips. They are the true mirrors of the souls of their protagonists. Suspended as if willing to reveal an unspeakable secret, like those of Nefertiti, open to pronounce a condemnation  or shout for their own salvation, as the priestess of the Druids, parted in an enigmatic smile, like those of Margaret, a happy conquest of which their victim is still unaware. These lips seal or open up a world to discover forever. Devouring, or leaving property in our contemplation.”

Guido Brivio Professor of Estetics

Department of Philosophy  University of Turin, Italy

“Dear Diana, I just visited your exhibition. Congratulations to your subjects that combine iconography of Egyptian civilization as in the portraits of the Queen Nefertiti revisited with some research of realism typical of the West, resulting into hybrids that well define the fragile elegance of the feminine nature. Aware of the fact that perfection is a slow but a continuous process, I wish to refine it with dedication and grace that you certainly do not miss. Best regards.”

The Artist

“This woman is an example of cross-cultural success in art and culture area. Here is she: a successful fashion ambassador, and Diana leading for women rights. Of Russian citizenship, birth and upbringing, she is a highly successful international supermodel. Her passion is art and her favourite country is Italy. She decided after 15 years of working all over the world to turn the page and give in to her passion, which has now become her profession: she has the art galleries in Italy and France, and her paintings are exhibited around the world. When I called her to tell her about our subject, I asked her, Diana, how do you explain your success? She replied, first of all, I am a woman and I choose to act as such, I have worked as a man works, but more than that it is the cultural richness that life has given me that has allowed me to break down doors and convey my passions.”

The Philosophy behind

“You know once Prof. Marco Marinacci, analysing my art and poetry style told me: “You know, it is all the same discourse… whatever you do: be it a painting, a book, a video episode or just a photograph… It all has your positive energy. And this energy can transmit your philosophy.  So, if you take a blind person and read him your poems, and then you show your paintings to the deaf person, these two people would have the same opinion of your creativity and your talent. Because it is not the FORM that matters, but the ESSENCE.”

“Ankara Life” Interview with D.A.Stauer

2015, Turkey.

“When I am writing a book or a poem, I want to lead the reader to this mysterious world of inspiration. I can say that my books are a blend of ethnographic and cultural research. As a passionate traveler, the thing that makes my works surprising is my life experiences. The same is with my art. You might not understand what is special about it. I will tell you: it is the love and pure inspiration that I give to my paintings that make it share their positive energy with the viewer.”

“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it”. Osho

The Message

Ladies of the World Against Violence

Princesses and priests of old times,Have suffered; denying their pain,

They prayed for bright future in shrines. But martyrdom, was it In vain?

We wait for the sun from the east,We look for the news from the west.

Not fearing violence- beast,I shout my peace manifest:

You'll see, as one lady's young voice, Starts calling the whole human race,

Our future is our choice,And new generations will raise.

All Ladies of our worldWith dignity, grace and respect New era shall choose to unfold,And life full of love shall protect.

“Only raising our voices together we can combat the violence against the women of the world!”. D.A.Stauer

The Recognition I am very thankful to the president Ilke Erol of the Soroptimist Club who has honored me with the award "for the contribution to combat with violence by "Ladies of the world against violence" art exhibition and live painting" in Ankara, I was so happy to receive it. I am thankful for Sibel for helping with the frames, canvases and colours. A lot of help and motherly support I got from my "Cinderella's magic aunt", my gallerist Semra Sancak, board member of Soroptimist International Women Club. I felt the support of all my friends and family. I am so thankful to everyone who believed in my talent and helped me every step of my way.

I AM NOT AFRAID AND I WILL NEVER HIDE. I WILL CLOSE MY SUFFERING FACE, BUT I WILL NEVER TURN FROM MY WAY TO ENLIGHTENMENT AND CREATION OF THE PEACEFUL AND HAPPY LIFE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN. THIS IS THE MEANING OF MY ART EXHIBITION AGAINST VIOLENCE.I THINK THAT THE IMPORTANCE OF THESE PAİNTİNGS AFTER PARIS ATTACKS HAVE RISEN. IT IS SYMBOLIC THAT THE EXHIBITION IS TAKING PLACE IN ANKARA JUST AFTER THE TERRORIST ATTACS THIS OCTOBER.YESTERDAY THERE WAS A MARAThON İN ISTANBUL.THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE RAN BETWEEN ASİA AND EUROPE TO CONDEMN VİOLANCE AGAİNST WOMEN. I WERE WITH THEM IN MY THOUGHTS.
