Nearly 1.3 million people die in road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths a day.Most of these people die due to delayed medical attention or response.Lacidem has an emergency access protocol that allows the access of critical data like blood group, allergies, emergency contacts etc, without the need of signing in.Whats Lacidem built on?Front End Technology

Lacidem Tags

Lacidem tags are password secured ,encrypted and programmed Near field Communication(NFC) Chips.The NFC being a passive chip does not require a power source of its own. Hence, can be used indefinitely.Any NFC tag maybe used including Topaz512, Ntag203, Ntag216 etc.Lacidem tags can be created into any form factor. Like wristbands , chains, PVC cards etc.

Lacidem PortalsAdmin Portal : Displays all account related information of both doctors and patients. Can create new doctor accounts and patient accounts. Also provides unique Lacidem ID that will be programmed in the Lacidem Tag.Doctor Portal : Allows doctors to add patients, view their medical history and add diagnosis. It is required to be logged into this account to use the Lacidem tag.Patient Portal : Allows patients to view their medical history and medical test results. Also displays all the doctors the patient visited along with their profiles.Whats in store for the future?Active Lacidem tags that can be detected from a long range. Real Time Vitals Monitor : Monitor pulse , temperature and other vitals on the go remotely.Automatic Emergency System which informs emergency services and contacts , and also shows current user location using GPS in case of an accident or emergency.Intelligent Medical Prediction System(IMPS) : A intelligent data mining and analysis system that will predict future illness by analysing patient medical history. The system will have an A.I or a level of machine learning capability allowing it to adapt and understand the symptoms of various medical conditions like heart attacks, Atrial Fibrillation, cancer etc. ; allowing early treatment and preventive measures.

ConclusionLacidem was built on the sole purpose of making the lives of patients and doctors easier. It also has the potential to save lives by acting as an instant source of information in case of accidents and unfortunate events where the first responder on scene may not have information on the healthcare or identity of the victim.Lacidem has the potential to revolutionize the medical records industry by making them secure, globally accessible and easily understandable.
