Nominations are now open for the 2019 local Australia Day Awards in the following categories: • Citizen of the Year • Young Citizen of the Year • Event of the Year The Awards, presented annually by Upper Lachlan Shire Council, are an opportunity to recognise exceptional examples of citizenship and achievement within the Shire. Nomination forms and the eligibility criteria are available on Council’s website (www.upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au) or from Council’s offices in Crookwell, Gunning and Taralga. Nominations close at 4.00pm on Friday, 26 October 2018. A selection committee will assess all nominations in strict confidence. The winners will be announced on Saturday, 26 January 2019 as part of Council’s Australia Day celebrations. For more information, please contact Council’s Executive Assistant Kirsten Porter on 4830 1007. Bookings of one date per organisation will open on Wednesday, 26 September 2018, for Street Stalls to be held in Crookwell in 2019. The bookings will close on Wednesday, 10 October 2018. Applications for further dates will be accepted from Thursday, 11 October 2018. Bookings will only be accepted in person at Council’s Crookwell Office, 44 Spring Street, Crookwell. All applicants will be provided with Council’s current Fundraising and Street Stalls Policy and will be required to sign a form acknowledging receipt. All organisations are required to bring a copy of their current Public Liability Policy/Certificate of Currency for a minimum of $10 million at the time of booking. Determinations Issued Between 1 August to 31 August 2018 Upper Lachlan Development Control Plan 2010 Draft Amendment No. 4 In accordance with Division 4 Clause 22 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000, Upper Lachlan Shire Council gives public notice of the exhibition of Upper Lachlan Development Control Plan 2010 (DCP 2010) Draft Amendment No. 4. DCP 2010 Draft Amendment No. 4 applies to all land within the Upper Lachlan Shire local government area. At its meeting held on 16 August 2018, Council resolved (Minute No. 236/18) to amend DCP 2010, Section 8.2 Subdivision (Electricity). The proposed draft amendment to DCP 2010 to be exhibited relate to: • Update appropriate planning controls to address alternative energy supply systems for subdivisions in RU1 Primary Production Zone and RU2 Rural Landscape Zone. The Draft DCP 2010 Amendment No. 4 exhibition documents will be on display from Thursday, 20 September 2018 to Friday, 26 October 2018 at: Crookwell – Council’s Environment and Planning Department, 44 Spring Street between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Crookwell Library will also be closed on Monday, 1 October 2018 and will reopen at 10.30am on Tuesday, 2 October 2018. Gunning Library does not open on Mondays. The Crookwell Visitor Information Centre will be open on the Labour Day Public Holiday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Crookwell Tip will be closed on Monday, 1 October 2018 and will reopen at 10.00am on Friday, 5 October 2018. Council’s other Tips and Transfer Stations do not open on Mondays.
