SUMMIT Engineering, Laboratory & Testing, Inc. (“SUMMIT”) was found-ed in the Charlotte-Metropolitan area by three experienced profes-sionals, Douglas Curley, Andrew Coffey and Robert McDonnell, in 2004. SUMMIT has since diversified into a multi-disciplinary consulting firm offering engineering and support services including full-ser-vice Environmental, Geotechnical, Subsurface Drilling, Special Inspec-tions, Materials Testing, Forensic and Structural Engineering depart-ments backed by a full-service NCDOT Tier III, AMRL, CCRL and AASHTO certified Laboratory.

Since SUMMIT’s founding, the company has experienced a consistent and steady expansion in all of our service sectors, capabilities, clientele and team members. With five office locations serving North and South Carolina, SUMMIT is poised for continued growth within our existing markets in addition to exploring new opportunities throughout the Carolinas. Our five offices are located in Charlotte (HQ) and Raleigh, North Carolina and Columbia, Greenville and Charleston, South Carolina.

Serving both the Public and Private sectors, our services are utilized on an extensive variety of projects within the Residential, Commercial, Transpor-tation, Multi-Family, Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality, Industrial and Govern-ment sectors.

Doug Curley has more than 20 years of experience in the engineering and construction services industry ranging from field and laboratory testing to

senior level project management and engineering. Mr. Curley is experienced in performing, managing, and providing technical consulting for Construction Materials Testing, Foundation Engineering, Construction Manage-ment, Geotechnical Explorations, Phase I and II Environ-mental Site Assessments, Asbestos and Lead Based Paint Surveys and Property Condition Surveys.

Andrew Coffey

Andrew Coffey has more than 15 years of experience in the engineering and construction services industry with experience in construction inspections,

QA/QC, structural design, project management, and municipal engineering. Mr. Coffey is experienced in performing, managing and providing technical consulting for a wide range of Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection projects in addition to Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering projects.
