    Why is English the languageof aviation?

    December 17th 1903: First Flight in USA

    The brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright, in

    the town of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina,made the first flight in the History of

    Aviation. In 12 seconds the plane flew for

    about 100 feet.As we are going to study now, the History ofAviation was born in the Anglo-SaxonCountries.

    LETS GOTO LA PALMA...

    FLIGHT PREPARATION:45 minutes beforetaking-off, the crew collects the technicaldocuments at the flight planning office:weather information at destination airport,number of passengers, cargo and mail,deciding the fuel required for each flight.

    30 minutes before taking-off, the crew

    perform the pre-flight checks, and theyprepare the cockpit and the passenger cabin.

    PRE-FLIGHT CHECKS

    We are going to listen now areal conversation in the cockpitof an airplane, as the crew hascompleted the pre-flight

    checks. One of the pilots is reading

    every item of the Check-Listand the other pilot is checking

    all the switches and controls,answering properly..
