SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Applicant requirements:

1. Applicant MUST have at least 60 hours of college credit prior to fall semester and be enrolled

as a full-time student. Senior level applicants must have one full academic year of coursework

remaining at the beginning of the fall term.

2. Applicant MUST be pursuing a degree in Construction, Engineering or other construction

related curriculum, at a college/university in the State of Louisiana.

3. Applicant should have a GPA of 2.5 in their major.

4. Applicant MUST be a high school graduate from the following parishes: Avoyelles, Grant,

LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, St. Landry, Vernon, and Winn.

Awards:

1. Scholarships will be for $500 per semester (not to exceed $1000 per school year), and will be

renewable for a total of two years or until graduation, whichever occurs first. Maximum

award: $2,000

2. Applications will be reviewed and winner selected by the AGC Scholarship Committee.

3. All applicants may be subject to a personal interview with the AGC Scholarship Committee.

4. Awards will be announced before school begins in fall term.

5. Funds will be presented directly to the recipient.

6. Scholarship recipient must maintain the 2.5 GPA in their major courses, and be enrolled as a

full-time student to remain eligible.

7. Grade transcripts shall be forwarded to the AGC office upon receipt of grades each semester.

Responsibility for transmitting grades shall be strictly up to the student, and failure to do so

may be grounds for disqualification.

NOTE: It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that this form is submitted to the Louisiana

Associated General Contractors office, 3622 Government Street, Alexandria, LA 71302, (hand

delivered or postmarked) no later than June 7th
