    To be successful in this subject you are expected to engage in a range of activities such as reading, researching and using the RAAus online learning management system

    Following a review of the RAAus L1 Maintainer Authorisation process, it was determined that a formal training and assess-ment package should be developed.

    PURPOSE

    The purpose of the course is to provide RAAus registered members with skills and knowledge to maintain their RAAus registered aircraft for private use with the L1 Maintenance Authority.

    The L1 Maintenance Authority Course is just the start, our aim is to provide members with an understanding of their responsibilities and how to access relevant rescources.

    This course is a compulsary requirement if you wish to maintain your own aircraft. If you do not perform any maintenance on your aircraft

    the L1 Assessment does not have to be completed.

    At the successful completion of this course you will:

    1. Know your roles and responsibilities

    2. Understand the L1 Maintenance Authority privileges

    3. Understand compliance requirements

    4. Have a basic understanding on how to maintain your aircraft

    5. Know how to reseach the resources to obtain the correct answers
