One of our goals as a team is to train up the next generation for leadership in the ministry. It a wonderful thing on Sunday mornings to look on the platform to see high school, college, and adult age volunteers all serving together. Because of our focus on developing young musicians, this past year Crossroads became the recipient of two grants that totaled $45,000 for the purchase of new worship equipment. This grant comes at an opportune time for us since most of our equipment is almost 20-years old and is needing replacement. Much of the new equipment is also new technology, which translates into better sound quality for us. Because our worship space is a multi-use area, the previous system had several areas known as “dead spots”. Dead spots are areas in the room that feel flat or too quiet. When dead spots occur, the soundboard operator must drive the system harder because of not being able to hear everything that is coming from the stage. This, in turn, creates loud spots in the room. Replacing the worship equipment with a system that is better designed for the space will create a more even sound through- out the room with very little decibel level difference. Our goal with this new sound system is to create clear and fuller sound experience, not loud music. As with a lot of new technology, it will take a few weeks for us to work out all the “bugs”. We ask that you remain patient with us as we work to figure them out. We are very thankful to those that helped us get the grants and those who have worked so hard in the design and installation of the new system. Who doesn’t love a before and after story? It is always inspiring when ugly, unlivable houses are transformed into beautiful, inviting homes. When God’s deep love does its work on the raw materials of our lives, the possibilities are even more beautiful. On January 8th, we will begin a four-week sermon series entitled Fixer Upper: Because every life needs a little renovation. Do you have the guts to take on a life renovation?

Dear Crossroads Family,

We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love we have received since my mother’s death. The cards,

visits, texts, phone calls and Facebook messages have been so thoughtful and heartfelt. We have known without

a doubt that we have been covered in prayer and we truly appreciate it.

Love, Sue and Jerry Aurigema and the family of Nancy Shipp
