It is with great pleasure that I offer this catalogue to you; I am proud of the selection of Clydesdale Horses for Sale & the enormous amount of harness and equipment that is also being offered. Rarely does such an opportunity present itself to buy working & young educated horses of this quality, with such a selection of carts, wagons, harness and saddlery on offer, all in the one place at the same time.

I would particularly like to thank all those who have helped Susan and me with the horses, particularly Kenny Scott & Wayne Bunyan for their willingness to share their knowledge and assist me in educating the youngsters.

Lot 1 – Asham Anna

Asham Anna, Registration 18307, has bred well for us & has a filly, Countess Anna in the 2013 section of fillies. She has a colt foal on her at present, Kyabra Centennial, to be sold in the 2014 section. Anna is a special brood mare with a lovely nature, she has been paddocked with Oak Range Ollie.

Lot 2 – Royaletartan Candice

Royal Tartan Candice, registration 17463, is the perfect mare for someone starting off in Draught Horses. She loves people & it is very easy to do anything with her. She is the mother of the young roan stallion, Lucky Night, her current filly foal, Kyabra Princess Candice, is offered in the 2014 drop group. Candice has been paddocked with Oak Range Ollie.

Lot 3 – Bunyan Katie

Katie waiting to go in the shafts

Katie was born in 2008, is bay & was educated by Wayne Bunyan, Millmerran, QLD. As a 4 year old Katie won the World's Championship Bronco Branding Contest at Mount Isa & won again at Camooweal. As well as a ridden stock horse, Katie has worked in low chains on a slide, a single shaft wagon, double shaft wagon in pairs & as a nearside leader in fours pulling our big English Farm Wagon. She possesses a lovely temperament, is strongly built &17.1 hands. Katie joined the brood mare group in 2014 & is expected to foal in the 2015 Spring to Oak Range Ollie.

Lot 4 – Oak Range Ollie

Oak Range Ollie, registration 7662, started off his Stud Life on Coolmore Thoroughbred stud where a group of draught mares were kept as nannies. The grooms used to hop on Ollie bareback when it was time to move paddocks, our Grandchildren have been known to sit on him in the paddock without a saddle or bridle. His temperament is amazing, he runs with the mares year round & his progeny are testimony to his value as a Stud Sire.

Lot 5 – Tina

Tina is a bay mare, she is our biggest & heaviest brood mare with excellent confirmation. She was bred on a large Station in South Australia that has been breeding Draught Horses for 50 years. She is represented in the 2012 fillies by Lady Tina and the 2013 fillies by Countess Tina. We value this mare highly so don’t overlook Tina. She has been paddocked with Oak Range Ollie.

Lot 6 – Ellie

Ellie is a bay mare which was bred in South Australia on the same property as Tina. She is a friendly mare, always there for a pat, & is represented in the 2012 section by Lady Ellie. Her 2013 foal was sold to Wayne Bunyan Millmerran QLD. She has been paddocked with Oak Range Ollie.

Susie was born in 2006, she is bay & a big upstanding brood mare. She is represented in the 2012 section by Kyabra Lady Susan. Her 2013 colt was sold to Wayne Bunyan, Millmerran QLD who also bought her 2011 filly, Kyabra Blue Moon. Susie has been scanned to foal to Oak Range Ollie 3rd November 2015

Four-rivers Trudy, registration 18674, was bought to expand our bloodlines. She is a friendly roan filly & has been through our initial education programme. We had planned to join her back to Oak Range Ollie this Spring.

Kyabra Lady Tina, is all class, she is thick set like her mother & with great confirmation & an endearing temperament. She has been through our initial education programme & we had planned to join her to Lucky Night this Spring.

Lady Clancee has darkened with age & her original bay colour is now towards black/brown. Her mother was a Show mare with a fabulous nature, & this filly shows all the same attributes. She has been through our initial education programme with flying colours, so if you want a special filly, consider Lady Clancee. We had planned on joining her to Lucky Night this Spring.

Lot 13 – Kyabra Lucky Night

Kyabra Lucky Night, registration 9152, is a young stallion that we selected to be used over Oak Range Ollies Fillies. His mother, Candice has a magnificent temperament & his father, a most desirable disposition. Lucky Knight, his father, was a most successful Stallion in the Show Ring winning many ribbons as well as Reserve Champion in Brisbane. This young Stallion has been through his initial education, we have been pleased with his quiet nature & willingness to learn & he promises to grow into a beautiful horse. He has not been joined to any mares.

Countess Cascade comes from a very potent breeding line. Her older sister was sold to Wayne Bunyan Millmerran QLD & she has a brother in Victoria. She has been through our initial education programme & we had intended to keep her as a future brood mare.

Captain was the Curtain Opener at the RM Williams Australiana Spectacular on the Gold Coast. He is equally at ease under saddle or in the sharves. He is a big bay horse standing 17.1 ½ hands, but is definitely that “gentle giant” Clydesdales are often referred to. He is happy pulling a slide, logging, in the single horse wagon, or as a leader or shafter in the big wagon we have, using four horses. He is a confidence builder for someone starting off & his endearing nature wins everyone over. Captain & Bounce are “rare finds” being fully educated working horses with a lot of experience, so don’t miss out on these 2 geldings. Any buyer would be most fortunate in taking Captain home.

Bunyan Bounce was Bluey Bunyan's training horse & used to educate his youngsters. He has a most delightful gentle nature, & is at home in any horse drawn vehicle; slides, logging, single or double wagons. He will lead & pull in the shafts in fours in our big farm wagon. Bounce & Captain are ideal horses to have in any team for beginners & trainers & for educating young horses. Bounce is a rare find, & a great confidence builder. Any buyer would be extremely lucky to take Bounce home.
