Kentucky Mission Trip 2015

We hope you are excited about our upcoming Kentucky Mission trip! We know we are. As always, it is shaping up to be an amazing team that God has put together and we are excited to see what God is going to do in and through the team. The task before us is great: both physically and spiritually.

Here is some important information that you will want to share with your parents: •On Sunday, July 26, we need you to be at the church service by 10:20. We will all be called up on stage and be commissioned as short term missionaries. This is a very important element of the trip and we expect all of you there. If you cannot make it, please contact Jason ASAP to let him know.

•On Friday, July 31, we will be leaving the church at 7am. Please plan on being at the church NO LATER THAN 6:30am.

•We will return to the church at 3p on Sunday, August 9. •We will be staying at Bethel Baptist Campground in Frenchburg, KY. •Emergency numbers for the trip will be Jason’s cell phone and Bill and Rose Bryant’s home number:

•Jason’s cell: 248.420.0034 (use this # first) •Bryant’s home: 606.768.9450

Enclosed you will find a pack list. Please use it as there are some important items on there.

If you have any remaining balances, or have not turned in your medical release form, please bring them in with you Friday morning. Checks are made payable to: Faith Church. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 248.651.3537, or you can email Jason at [email protected].

Kentucky Mission Trip 2015: pack list Please carefully go over the pack list. Some of these items are very important.

o sleeping bag and or sheets plus pillow - the beds are bunk beds with a twin mattress

o BIBLE is a must (don’t have one, no worries, see Jason for one)o Work clothes (want at least one pair of long pants…clothes must be ones that

can get ruined with paint or tar) Appropriate clothing - no tank tops or short shorts.

o Pair of work boots/shoeso A set of clothes to wear to a church we will visit. This needs to be dress pants

for boys and a skirt or dress for girls. They are much more conservative in their church dress then we are.

o Cooler clothes for around camp (including swimsuit - must be one piece - and towel)

o Toiletries and towel for showeringo Flashlight and work gloveso Bug sprayo Can bring a fan for your room (please label it)o Sunscreen and hato Rain jacketo Water Bottle…A MUSTo Everyone must bring at least a 12 pack of pop/water/gatorade for the group to

In addition, we want to make some contributions to the shelter that Rose Bryant work’s at. They deal with families that are down to their last penny. The following are items that the families cannot purchase with food stamps and they are in need of:

o All purpose cleanero Laundry detergento Clorox wipeso Dish Soapo Paper towelso Toilet Papero Bleacho We are also collecting clean - good clotheso Also this year - we are collecting school supplies. The kids are all starting

school the week we are down there and their is a shortage of supplies.

We are asking that every family bring at least one of EACH of these items. We do not expect you to buy them. This is an opportunity to go to family and neighbors and ask if they can contribute at least one of the items. This will also give you an opportunity to share of the things we desire to see God do in and through us. You will be surprised how many people WANT to help - especially given all the storms down there last year - and this is an easy way for them. Many are inexpensive items that you can find anywhere; however, that is not the case in Frenchburg, KY. Please keep your items limited to this list. These are the things that have been requested
