BENEFITS OF A PATHFINDER TRADE MISSION

Non-Western cultures place more emphasis on developing long-term relationships and building trust through handshakes as opposed to emails. Success is rarely achieved by the latter and trade missions are your first step to making that all-important ‘first impression’.

A combined political and commercial briefing hosted at the British Embassy with HMA, DIT Director and Sector Leads.

Arranged calls with in-country British Legal and Taxation experts, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry, KDIPA.

Participation at a Britain in Kuwait reception at the British Embassy, providing an excellent opportunity for mission participants to network with a wider audience.

DAY 2 (TUESDAY 26TH NOVEMBER):

2 bespoke 1-to-1 meetings.

DAY 3 (WEDNESDAY 27TH NOVEMBER):

Free for individual appointments and/or optional visit to the Britain in Kuwait Trade Exhibition 2019.

PROGRAMME ARRANGERS & MISSION LEADER

The Department of International Trade (DIT) aims to secure UK and global prosperity by promoting and financing international trade and investment, and championing free trade.

Together with the British Embassy in Kuwait, the DIT have put together a programme that offers UK businesses the chance to make initial business contacts in Kuwait and develop a opening in the market for their product/service.

The British Embassy in Kuwait has many years experience working with the Kuwaiti business community, giving them an advantage in assisting you both professionally and competently.

The Mission will be led by Michael Thomas, Chairman and Strategic Advisor of Pathfinder Trade and Invest.

Michael started his Middle East career in Kuwait in the mid-1970’s working for the Kuwait Shipping Company handling many major projects. Michael is also instrumental in organising events related to developing UK - Kuwaiti relations and frequently travels to the country.

In 2000, Michael joined the Middle East Association as Director General and was the UK’s foremost authority in developing UK trade to the Middle East. He was also involved in setting up all the major Middle East business councils and in 2011, Michael founded Pathfinder Trade & Invest and in his role as Chairman continues to be highly influential in both the private and public sector.

Please note that for the mission to go ahead, Pathfinder require a minimum of 5 delegates to commit to the mission. If the number of delegates fall below this number, Pathfinder reserve the right to cancel the mission and the deposit paid will be refunded in full.

If delegates choose not to select Pathfinder’s suggested travel arrangements, Pathfinder advise delegates not to book their travel until the mission has been confirmed by Pathfinder. Pathfinder will not be liable for any costs paid by the delegate prior to the mission being confirmed.

All delegates will consent to the sharing of information stated in their application form with all parties involved in organising the trade mission which will include: name, company, contact details, company description and objectives for attending, company website, delegate’s photo and biography.

Travel and Accommodation

Our parent company CT Travel Group Ltd have fully complied with the bonding requirements of the Association of British Travel Agents and the Civil Aviation Authority. Their ABTA number is 99162 and ATOL number 5158. The travel package is a contract between the mission delegate and CT Travel Group Ltd.

If you choose to book your own travel arrangements, please do not do so before the mission has been confirmed.

The travel package on offer is subject to availability and once booked, is non-refundable.

Booking Process

Applications should be made via our CT Trade Missions online application booking form. Other forms of payment are also accepted. Alternatively, you may submit your payment details to Pathfinder Trade and Invest and your deposit payment will be processed once the mission is confirmed.

In the event that the mission does not go ahead, your deposit payment will not be processed and your payment details will be destroyed.

The deposit payment is non-refundable under any circumstances (with the exception of the mission being cancelled by Pathfinder Trade & Invest due to the minimum number of delegates not being met) which includes and not restricted to visa refusal, force majeur or any unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of Pathfinder Trade and Invest or CT Travel Group Ltd.

Mission Eligibility

Pathfinder Trade and Invest reserve the right to refuse or reject an application to join the mission and to refuse any person joining the mission at any time.

Insurance

Delegates are responsible for their own insurance for the duration of the mission. Please ensure Kuwait is covered on any existing policy.

Cancellation Policy

Pathfinder Trade and Invest will not be liable for any loss, delay or damage resulting from the cancellation or postponement of the mission.

Delegate Fee- Loss of deposit up to 45 days prior to departure.- Loss of 75% of delegate fee 45 – 31 days prior to departure.- Loss of 100% of delegate fee 30 – 0 days prior to departure.

Flight Booking- Airline ticket 100% non-refundable at time of booking. Name changes are not permitted.

Hotel Booking - Non-refundable at time of booking.

Costs Not Included In The Delegate Fee

Meals, refreshments, drinks not specified in the delegate fee.Transportation to individual meetings outside of the group programme.Any costs related to unforeseen circumstances such as flight cancellations, additional accommodation and transportation.
