    2.Directional Controll Valve

    The function are to direct fluid power (air pressure or hydroulic oil) tovarious place in the system

    The main sub clasification as :

    1.Number of flow port (two-way valve,three-way valve, four-

    way valve , five -way valve)

    2.Number of position (two-switching position, three switching

    position )

    3. Construction of the actuator (popet type, longitudinal spool

    type, rotary disc type)

    Each valve may be operated : manually,

    mechanically, electrically, or by pilot

    arrangement

    Katup 3/2-waydigerakkan oleh tombol tekan (PB) atau secara

    manual dan kembali ke posisi awal karena spring return(pegas

    pengembali)

    Katup 3/2-waydigerakkan secara mekanik sebagai Limit Switch

    (LS) model biasa dan kembali ke posisi awal karena spring return(pegas pengembali)

    Katup 3/2-waydigerakkan secara mekanik sebagai Limit Switch

    (LS) model rol tuas kembali bebas (idle return) dan kembali ke

    posisi awal karena spring return

    Katup 5/2-waydigerakkan/dikontrol oleh udara bertekan-

    an (secara pneumatik) dari satu arah dan kembali ke posisi awal(normal) karena spring return.

    Biasa disebut Monostable Distributor

    Speed control on actuating

    cylinder The speed of cylinder can be

    controlled inthe following way :

    1. Meter the air flow INTO the cylinder

    Cause of Failure of Pneumatic

    valve

    1. Dirt , this is the major cause for valve failure

    2. Lack of lubrication, most of pneumatic

    valve requred lubrication

    3. Heat , this cause deterioration of mostpacking

    4. Broken part 5. Incorrect Packing
