PROJECT OVERVIEWThe State of Alabama Department of Education (ALSDE) selected Kuder in 2010 to develop a comprehensive statewide online career planning system for students in grades 6 through 12. ALSDE soon developed PLAN 2020 as its strategic plan. The goal? Preparing all students to be successful in college and/or career upon graduation from high school. ALSDE looks to Kuder as a PLAN 2020 support system that helps secondary students successfully prepare for the future.
THE CHALLENGEThe ALSDE sought an online system combining education planning, career exploration, and workforce readiness in a single platform to support its high school graduation requirements, including a multi-year course of study within a diploma or endorsement framework.

THE RESULTS
Course Plan Completion
Kuder supports Alabama’s Plan 2020, reaching students early to ensure students enter the ninth grade prepared and with a course plan that addresses their individual academic and career interest needs.
