KSFHP is accepting bills for Farmworker services and TB services that occurred on Dec. 1, 2013 or after. The cut off date for bills with a date of service from Dec.1, 2013 through Nov. 30, 2014 will be Mar. 31, 2015. Payments for services before July 1, 2014 are slightly delayed. This is because payments for services that occurred in the previous state fiscal year have more steps involved. For this reason, we strongly encourage clinics to submit bills in a timely manner in order to ensure timely payment. All bills need to include both CPT codes and ICD 9 or ICD 10 codes. Please include the voucher when submitting the claim. If possible, please include a print out of the patient summary from the appointment with the claim as well. KSFHP is funded through the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC). BPHC has made a change that affects the KSFHP’s reporting in future years. For this reason, starting in 2016, the cut off date for the submission of the previous year’s bills will be February 1 . KSFHP understands that this is a change from previous years and, thus, is informing providers early and regularly. Timely submission of claims will ensure that bills can be processed and paid. Thank you in advance for your cooperation on this matter.

timely payment.

KSFHP is accepting bills for Farmworker services and TB services that occurred on Dec. 1, 2013 or after. The cut off date for bills with a date of service from Dec.1, 2013 through Nov. 30, 2014

will be Mar. 31, 2015.

Payments for services before July 1, 2014 are slightly delayed. This is because payments for services that occurred in the previous state fiscal year have more steps involved. For this reason, we strongly encourage clinics to submit bills in a timely manner in order to ensure timely payment.

All bills need to include both

CPT codes and

ICD 9 or ICD 10 codes.

Please include the voucher when submitting the claim.

If possible, please include a print out of the patient

summary from the appointment with the claim as well.

KSFHP is funded through the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC). BPHC has made a change that affects the KSFHP’s reporting in future years. For this reason, starting in 2016, the cut off date for the submission of

the previous year’s bills will be February 1. KSFHP understands that this is a change from previous years and, thus, is informing providers early and regularly. Timely submission of claims will ensure that bills can be processed and paid. Thank you in advance for your cooperation on this matter.

The National Center for Farmworker Health (NCFH) has some great resources for providers working with the farmworker population, including materials about behavioral health, which includes both mental health and substance abuse services. Migrant and seasonal agriculture workers experience many challenges. Agricultural workers live constantly with stressors and pressures that leave them at risk for behavioral health problems. Studies have documented the high incidence of stress, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse among migrant and seasonal agriculture workers in the United States. If you are interested in learning more about these topics, here are links to resources on NCFH’s website:

KSFHP expanded coverage beginning in September 2014 for behavioral health services to clients. Please contact your Regional Case Manager if you have questions and/or want to know more about behavioral health providers in your area for referrals.

Thank you for mailing the National Center for Farmworker Health Tips. I read about the articles "Let's Talk about Arthritis" and "Good Nutrition is Very Important to your Child." Now I have more information about these topics. I talked to my husband about arthritis and he is willing to go and visit the doctor. He has problems with his hands and now we understand better. We are going to start changing our eating habits at home. KSFHP is doing a great job educating farmworker families.

In each newsletter, KSFHP will be sharing quotes directly from clients who have been impacted by program services. Most

quotes are translated from Spanish or Low German to English.

We are blessed to have this program. Since we have been in the program my family’s life has changed. Before the program we always stressed about upcoming medical bills. Thank you to everyone who works to make this program happen.

Since I have been in the program my health has improved. Thank you!
