Method of operation All variants of the Mecafill VKP fillerare single-chamber short-tube fillersoperating by the equal pressure prin-ciple As soon as the bottle is pressedto the centring bell filling can beginDepending on the version the bottleis first pressurised and pre-evacuatedDepending on the product a single ordouble pre-evacuation with interme-

diate rinsing can be employed Whenthe equal pressure has been reachedin the ring bowl and the bottle theactual filling step begins The fillingprocess is completed once the prod-uct comes In contact with the end ofthe vent tube thereby preventing gasescaping from the bottle back intothe ring bowl After a setting phasethe pressure in the containerlsquos headspace is taken off via thesnifting valve This snifting step canbe adjusted to any product any
