ACM-W Event for Prabidhi

ACM-W, Association for Computing Machinery Women’s Chapter, conducted an event in collaboration

with CSI, Computer Society of India student chapter, on 14th March 2019 for Prabidhi, the annual Tech

Fest of the School.

The event Hunt’em-Up consisted of two rounds, first being a treasure hunt and the next as a Tech-Taboo

competition. Students had to participate in teams for 4. During the treasure hunt, the teams were given

clues encrypted in a QR code which in turn lead them to the next clue. Each clue had a specific letter

assigned to it and the teams which presented the correct order of letters at the finishing point got the

maximum number of points. This in retrospect made the hunt more challenging and interesting requiring

the students to be conscious of the order of collection of their clues.

The top few teams of the first round proceeded to the Tech-Taboo round where each team had to make

their respective team members guess the maximum number of Taboo words under a minute.

A tally of both rounds scores were then calculated and the corresponding teams proceeded to final round

of Prabidhi.

This event saw a booming participation of around 40 teams each consisting of 4 students and faired well

among the students proving to be one of the most popular events of the day.
