Our self-image shapes everything. We act out of what and who we think we are. According to Psalm 139, because God wove our being together in our mothers womb, He knows us incredibly inmately, right down to the intra-cellular level. And because he wove our minds together (even our subconscious!), he knows our thoughts, our compulsions - even those that are hidden from us! God understands and gets us’, even when nobody else around us does, and even in those mes when we cant even figure our selves out. And because God wove our hearts and our souls together, he knows exactly how these ck too, and that we are created for love, and that we are created for relaonship - with each other and with Him. He knows our needs, our hopes, our fears, our strengths, our weaknesses and our potenal. According to Scriptures, we are each incredibly special and unique creaons: beaufully, wonderfully, fearfully, awesomely made (Psalm 139:14). God knows us and He loves us - warts and all. And He has made each of us for a purpose and a calling: a high calling. We are called to be the image bearers of God, carrying ourselves with all the dignity that implies, and helping others to find their dignity and calling as image- bearers too. Our self-image shapes everything. We act out of what and who we think we are.

According to Psalm 139, because God wove our being together in our mother’s womb, He knows us incredibly intimately, right down to the intra-cellular level. And because he wove our minds together (even our subconscious!), he knows our thoughts, our compulsions - even those that are hidden from us! God understands and ‘gets us’, even when nobody else around us does, and even in those times when we can’t even figure our selves out. And because God wove our hearts and our souls together, he knows exactly how these tick too, and that we are created for love, and that we are created for relationship - with each other and with Him. He knows our needs, our hopes, our fears, our strengths, our weaknesses and our potential.

According to Scriptures, we are each incredibly special and unique creations: beautifully, wonderfully, fearfully, awesomely made (Psalm 139:14). God knows us and He loves us - warts and all. And He has made each of us for a purpose and a calling: a high calling. We are called to be the image bearers of God, carrying ourselves with all the dignity that implies, and helping others to find their dignity and calling as image-bearers too.

Many blessings,

Kristin

Opportunities

Change for the better Being the 1st Sunday of the month, today we will be collecting our

'change for the better money' again (in the big orange bucket at the

back of the church). This term's collection is going towards the PSO

buddy programme - so far we have raised $242. Marco tells us that

the money Leith raises will be used to buy car booster seats, which

will make it easier for mentors to take their mentees out and

about.

Mission’s Prayer Meeting Today (7th May), 5.00pm at 267 Malvern Street, we have our

monthly missions prayer meeting. Today we will focus on praying

for Wayne & Helen, and on praying for Myanmar.

Kristin will be leading this as Alan is away. All welcome!

Leith Valley Youth Term 2 Flier on the back table. There are heaps of exciting things
