Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum
As per spiritual knowledge, there are two forces existing in Nature, viz.,
Life and Matter. Life restricting its peripheral boundary finally reaches the last
stage „Matter‟. The life principle is one pole of an object and the other pole is
matter. The matter before completely transforming into Life Principle under goes
a gradual manifestation and the same is termed as Evolution of Consciousness.
The consciousness continues to blossom once the life is divulged.
Our spiritual procedures contemplate that the consciousness in a
manifested life will have to pass through 10 successive stages crucial for its
progressive expansion. The Matter exercises its authority over consciousness up
to the seventh stage and leaves the responsibility to Nature for further
directions. It means that the process of evolution of consciousness in the matter
takes place in the Nature‟s unfinished mould. By the time Krishna‟s incarnation
descended, the life‟s Matter and Consciousness reached the stage of Dynamic
Equilibrium, in their expanding and helping activities respectively. As such, the
life unless subjected to some new and fresh instigations inside, will continue in
the state of equilibrium indefinitely. Neither there will be an end nor further
evolution. This condition of life is called “Life-Death-Cycle” (Janma-Mrithyu-
Chakram). It will not be possible to locate the first and last points. This
extraordinary and peculiar situation of life is similar to that stage when Sri Rama
in His incarnation had to renounce His body. For this reason only, it became an
absolute necessity for the human life to liberate itself from this „Life-Death-
Cycle‟.
The life that has been getting guidance from the Matter, was self-driven
for the first time during Sri Krishna‟s incarnation.
“Manayeva Manushyanam Karanam Bandha Mokshayoh”
This is to send a message that there be a conflict amongst the life forces
in equilibrium so that the life gradually controls the Nature. The Conscious
Centre that provides necessary directions and specified principles to achieve the
said objective is Purna Avatar or Primary Avatar known in general, as „Sri
Krishna Consciousness‟. The life that was under the control of Nature till Ram
avatar (Sri Rama Incarnation) had for the first time attempted to evict the
darkness in Nature. This highlighting factor in the life‟s cycle appeared only
during Sri Krishna‟s incarnation. We, therefore, notice Bhagvadgita mentioning
adjectively “Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum” as an additional honor to Krishna‟s
incarnation.
This marvelous metamorphosis in consciousness about 5000 years ago led
to evolution launch its plan of action, initially with destruction of Missiles and
Missile knowledge. Missile knowledge is but Power of Speech. The present day
accomplishments with the help of various machinery were achieved those days
with Power of Speech only. Unless, therefore, this experimental power of the
entire mankind is restricted, the Life Principle‟s contact will not come down to
physical world from the plane of Formless Mind. Gurus, accordingly felt it
essential to only lock the knowledge of Missiles as it was not their convention to
completely destroy. In Bhagvadgita, we will only find some hints concerning
Missile knowledge. The modus operandi is not clearly specified in Gita for
creation of the Divine Nature or acquisition of Missile knowledge there from. Gita
clearly mentions that the only route to imbibe this knowledge is to correlate
Karma, Jnana and Bhakti yogas.
From that time till today, in any country, at any stage, the consciousness
of Spiritual Gurus is getting incited only by Sri Krishna consciousness. Due to
this reason, any instruction / order from Gurus to the disciples or groups of
disciples, conveying adoption of a particular path or implementation of a specific
method, is with the sole intention that the „Aadishakthi‟ in the plane of formless
mind should come down to earth and transform this Nature into Divine Nature.
We will be able to reach this goal in three stages:
1. Tamasoma Jyothirgamaya (to lead into light from darkness) Studies on light, evolutionary behaviors of light, different uses of
fire, refining the elements with fire, making newer matters etc.
undertaken in 17th century B.C. are all the revelations of the light in
“Aatma Shakti”. We, therefore, represent the different rays of the same
single fame.
The influence of the gradually descending “Aatma Shakti” into the
Nature and inanimateness is observed these days in numerous lamps
burning every night. In Mahabharata, the efforts of Dronacharya in
inducting this reality of Fire into Nature, is less recognized.
The True Role of Dronacharya in Mahabharata:
Dronacharya was Guru to both Pandavas (Pancha Tatvas) and
Kauravas (immoral traits). As a contemporary to Sri Krishna, the Guru
naturally had to play his role in consistence with Sri Krishna‟s plan of
action. As such, we notice Dronacharya‟s also known as Kumbha
Sambhava, immense cooperation and contribution in meeting the
requirements of Sri Krishna‟s plan of action at various places in
Mahabharata. To mention a few of them:
i) Part played by Dhrustadyumna and Draupati (born from the sacred fire of yagna) in rooting out the evil traits of Kauravas,
ii) To prop up Sikhandi, iii) In renouncing Astras (weapons) to die in the hands of
Dhrustadyumna,
iv) In Draupati and Arjuna‟s marriage and v) In prohibiting the use of Astra knowledge by Ekalavya etc.
These are all group efforts (Yagna, Fire and Krishna‟s action) to
bring out the nature from darkness into eternal light. The invention
of electric bulb by Edison, Thomas (Alva) in 1879 which is used
throughout the world today is one of the procedures covered under
“Thamasoma Jyothirgamaya).
2. Asathoma Sadgamaya (Lead me from unreal to real): Though it gives an impression that various kinds of matter in the
nature carry different characteristics and behaviors, the modern science
emphatically says that they are all combination of positive and negative
electrical waves in different ratios. The scientists maintain today that the
cosmic electricity is the basis for the formation of the entire Universe. All
the accomplishments through electrical science in 19th century are
because of manifestation of “Aatma Shakti” in the nature. This indicates
the flow of power towards “Asathoma Sadgamaya” in its physical
manifestation form.
3. Mruthyorma Amruthangamaya (Lead me from death to immortality): In the beginning of 20th century B.C., the infinite power and
capabilities hidden in every atom and the perennial free flow of Radio
Active Rays without any external instrument from a Micro cell which was
hitherto considered feeble, weak and useless, were experimentally found
out and results made public. This could be viewed as attributable to the
manifestation of „Aatma Shakti‟ in nature as a consequence of which the
cells in the nature transformed and acquired this infinite power.
It transpires that the specified principles of “Thamasoma Jyothirgamaya –
Asathoma Sadgamaya – Mruthyorma Amruthangamaya” are received well by the
nature but such positive changes in the individual‟s psychological make up are
not noticed. Further, the human being in possession of equal power as that of
nature‟s Aatma Shakti is seen stooping down. However, it is now time to feel
confident that Sri Krishna consciousness and disclosed secrets of Sri Krishna‟s
incarnation, will bring a positive and illuminating life to all.
Those wishing to create Mahabharata (Maha = Great, Bha = Light or
Wisdom, Rata = Liking) should correlate Bhakti, Jnana and Karma yogas
explained by Jagadguruvu in Gita and practice the same in daily life exhibiting
their extraordinary mental courage and will power.
Astronomy – Dattatreya – Sri Krishna
The location of Dattatreya was close to the abodes of Brahma, Vishnu and
Rudra in the zodiac of the cosmic sphere. Let us now try to know more details.
Our ancient Veda Rishis, after many Solar Spheres of greatest magnitude
and their transformation into stars (Sapta Diso Nanasuryam). They also found
out what conditions exist on earth at the time of rising of each star in every
season and also their undeniable relationship with respective Deity. They could
also identify the particular Deity controlling a star with the help of vedic verses
in “Naksha Thresti” of “Thaithiriya Samhita” (scripture). For eg: Star Krithika as
God of Fire, Star Swathi as God of Wind etc. Not only the relationship of stars
with Deities but also the concept of Pantheism is confirmed. Shruti (revealed
Text of Vedas) says “Ahorathre Parshve Nakshatram Rupam”. On noticing some
stars in the East before the Sunrise and again seeing the stars in the East after
Sunset, the functions and poojas (worship) for Star Deities have been decided.
Apart from this, depending on the location of a particular Star or Star cluster
(group of Stars) in the cosmic sphere and the shapes of Stars in their
surroundings, the Star Deities‟ Vehicles, Flags, their personalities and their great
achievements have been narrated in mythological stories.
“Vishnu Padam” (Star representing Lord Vishnu) is seen located on the
Northern side of the sky. It was mentioned in “Vishnu Puranam” (Mythology) in
“Voorthotharam Rishi Bhyasthu Dhruvoyathrasti Vysmrutham Yethath Vishnu
Padam Divyam”. This means that Vishnu Padam exists above Dhruva Star and
on the upper Northern side of Saptha Rishi‟s (seven great sages) constellation.
Like Dhruva, Saptha Rishis, Sage Agasya etc., Lord Vishnu too occupied a
place as a Celestial Star. We are fortunate to have immeasurable “Life Force”
from Sun rays. Scientists say that 640 tons of hydrogen after conversion as
helium reaches the earth in the form of Life Force per second. It is beyond our
imagination to estimate the quantum of „Life Fore‟ energy let out by innumerable
„stars‟ that are much bigger in size than sun. The flow of this „Life Force‟ energy,
having been detected by our great ancient sages, passed on to us their valuable
knowledge after identifying the source and location of the stars in the
constellation and the kind of energy emanating from them, by giving specific
names. This treasure of knowledge given by our ancestors enabled us to think
and offer different contours to different deities, whom we worship today. Those
living on Earth at present and pray to Rudra, Vishnu and other Deities are
deriving powers from respective cosmic locations of the Deities.
If Zodiac is joined into the North Dhruva Star, the formation resembles
Lord Vishnu. Only those Deities who are within the Zodiac are listed to be
eligible to receive „Havis‟ (sacrificial oblations during yagas). The hemispherical
areas above and below the Zodiac were also derived into many parts and the
Rishis identified certain specific stars from which the „Life Force‟ from the Centre
of Universe flows to the living beings on Earth. Such identified parts of
constellations have been named as places of Brahma, Rudra etc. etc. The most
luminous Stars looking like a band of white due to their denseness in the „Milky
way‟ (Astronomy) is said to be “Kshira Sagar” (Ocean of Milk). A part of this is
called “Divija Ganga” (Ganges on Earth). A defined part of a particular group of
stars in the „Milky way‟ is labeled as “Vaikuntam” (Abode of Lord Vishnu). The
Centre of Universe is at 30,000 light years distance (one light year distance is
5,880,000,000,000 miles) from Zodiac. Lord Vishnu in lying posture and hoods
of Seshu (snake) over His Head could be visualized with a combination of certain
stars. One ancestors imagined and pointed a Hamsa (Swan capable of
separating Milk and Water), Saraswathi (Goddess of Knowledge) and Brahma
near and just above the waist position of Lord Vishnu. Similarly, close to the sign
of Gemini in the Zodiac, the abode of Rudra (Orion) is spotted. Also there are
three Stars in the midst of trapezium shaped four Stars called “Gurakoyya”.
Above this trapezium shape, there are three small Stars in crescent formation
called as „Mrigasira‟. It is believed that Rudra and Chandra (Moon) are the
commanding Deities for Stars „Arudra‟ (one of those in the Trapezium) and
Mrigasira respectively. It is said that this constellation exemplifies the abode of
Rudra, Mrigasira being viewed as Fifth day Moon (crescent) on Rudra‟s head and
the „Milky-way‟ due to its close proximity to Rudra‟s head considered as Ganges
(Holy River) over His Head. There also exists a prominent star within a short
distance that connects to the three Stars (Gurukoyya) at Rudra‟s waist portion.
This „Star‟ is considered to be „Kala Bhairava‟. While the abode of Rudra is
adjacent to the Milky Way and close to the sign of Gemini, the abode of Brahma
(Creator) is seen located on the upper portion of Milky Way. The abode of Vishnu
is at 180o parallel to the abode of Lord Brahma. The Star in this religion
„Hercules‟ is 800 times bigger than the Sun. The star „Arudra‟ in Rudra‟s abode is
400 times bigger than the Sun. The light generated by Star “Kala Bhairava” is 24
times greater than that of the Sun. We could only see some Stars (in Saptha
Rishi‟s constellation) representing Sage Chyavana and Sage Agasthya which are
near to the sign of Taurus. Major portion of stars are invisible to human eye.
Lord Dattatreya was born on Poornima (Full Moon Day) in the month of
Margasira (December) under the asterism Mrigasira, the commanding Deity 16
this star being Chandra (Moon). Our Puranas (ancient texts) claim that Chandra
was also born to Sage couple Athri and Anasuya, as a brother to Lord Dattatreya
Sri Krishna (Eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu) was born under the asterism of
„Rohini‟. The Star „Rohini‟ belonged to „Prajapathi‟ (Lord of Creatures and one of
the epithets of Lord Brahma) during yajurveda time. At a later stage, Prajapathi
moved from Rohini to charioteer constellation. Astronomists call this as “Aariga”.
As per Maya‟s Solar Theory, the two Stars representing Heart of Brahma and
Prajapathi are in this “Aariga”. This change must have taken place after Sri
Krishna‟s birth, according to Master Moparthi Gopala Rao Garu. Firstly, Orion or
abode of Rudra is at the bottom of Milky-Way and secondly, close to the Milky-
Way is the abode of Vishnu having stars Mrigasira and Rohini, the birth stars of
Sri Datta and Sri Krishna (incarnations of Lord Vishnu) respectively and thirdly,
on the other side, the abode of Lord Brahma (Prajapathi) in the form of a chariot
is near Gemini sign in the Zodiac; all the three happens to be at the same place.
We, therefore, observe that the three abodes of Trimurtis (Brahma, Vishnu and
Rudra/Maheswara) are very close to each other in the Zodiac, culminating in the
manifestation of Trinity God – Dattatreya, possessing the three characters
(gunas) of Sattya, Rajas and Tamas (Purity, Passion and Inertia). The Centre of
the Universe, Abode of Vishnu and the place of Dattatreya (Trinity God) are all
on one straight line. On the full moon day, in the month of Margasira
(December), our Earth happens to be in the sign of Gemini and Saggitarius when
Moon and Sun occupy these signs respectively in other words, our Earth moves
to the same straight line corresponding to the time of birth of Dattatreya. It
means that effortlessly we come to that position to receive the Life Force Energy
conveniently from the Centre of Universe and from the abode of Vishnu (Near
Sagattarius).
While incarnations of God are many, similarities in Dattatreya and Sri
Krishna incarnations are prominent. Both are the incarnations of “ParaBrahma”
(Omnipotent-Almighty) though they are stated as Vishnu‟s incarnations. Some
Puranas (ancient texts) say that Dattatreya was not bon under the asterism of
Mrigasira and that He was born on Chaturdasi (a day before Full Moon Day)
leaving a scope to either consider Star Rohini or to consider a day of
„Thidhidwayam‟ (i.e., patly Chaturdasi and partly Poornima). The genesis of both
incarnations is from the place in the Zodiac. Sri Krshna is „Yogeswar‟ (God of
Yoga). Dattatreya is Originator to the path of yoga. In the incarnations of
Vishnu, these two are more related to the yoga path.
Dattatreya, whose origin is linked to the beginning of creation in
Swayambhuva Manvantara, had established the path of yoga, nurtured it and is
fortifying the same thenceforth. He is the personification of yogic philosophies.
We may refer to “Dattatreya Thathva Rahasyam” for more details. He declared
to the world that yoga kindled with knowledge of „Atman‟ (the self or soul) is the
right way for spiritual realization. Sri Krishna preached „Bhagavad Gita‟ (in
„Mahabharata, the world‟s longest epic of Indian Mythology) to Prince Arjuna for
the first time and preached „Yoga‟ only to Uddhava at the time of shedding His
incarnation. This reveals that it is only Dattatreya, amongst the two who
unfolded the Power of Yoga and transitted to others. In the case of Sri Krishna,
the Yogic Philosophy remained in his Self and not reached others. He brought
out dually imbued path of devotion. He has neither suggested Pantheistic Yoga
(Advaitam) path nor favorably promoted the same. Still, both of Them possess
the power of “Paramathma” (Immortal Atman). However, we have to learn what
„Atman‟ (self or soul) is, from Dattatreya. Finally, we have to reap the fruits of
this struggle from Sri Krishna. For name sake, They are two, but They are One
and Unified, from the angle of „Atman‟.
Dattatreya‟s Anustup „Mantra‟ (incantation) reads “Dattatreya Hare
Krishna ….”etc. In this Sixteen incarnations of Dattatreya, the last incarnation is
“Sri Krishna Syama Kamala Nayana”. On observation of all these, we get a
feeling that Dattatreya and Sri Krishna are one and the same. There are many
other proofs to strengthen this. “Gopalapoorvathapinyupanishath” says “Kaha
Krishnaha? Papakarshanha, Gobhoomi Gopaviditho, Gopijana
Vidyakalapapreakaha, Thanmayam Chethisakalam Param Brahmaivathath
Yodyayathi, Rasathi, Bhajathi, Sa Amritobhavathi Ethi Kim Thadrupam? Sath
Pundarika Nayanam, Meghabham, Vaidyuthambaram, Dwibhujam,
Gyanamudadhyam, Vanamaalina Meeswaram “.
“Who is Krishna? Absolver of sins. His existence is related to Cow, Earth
and Vedas. Inducer of knowledge to Gopi Tribe (Basically Cowherds and Milk-
vendors). („Go‟ means „Organs‟. „Pa‟ means „Rulers‟. That is „yogis‟ who exercise
self-control over organs). He is „Maya‟ (Samvit). Samvit is the primary
intelligence of Vishnu. Maya attributes his „ahamata‟ activity or Vishnu‟s Power.
This power of God is personified and is called „Maya‟. „Ahamata‟ being in a
feminine form is called „Maya‟. He is „ParaBrahma‟ (Supreme Being). Those who
glorify, praise and chant Him will attain Divinity. How He looks like? Excellent
white lotus like eyes – illuminating body like lighting, glittering divine dress,
having two hands – ocean of knowledge, and with a necklace made of flowers
and leaves. He is Eswar (Parabrahma)”. This complete description suits
Dattatreya. Dattatreya is not a separate entity from Sri Krishna.
Dattatreya is originator of yoga. Krishna is illuminator of Yoga.
Dattatreya‟s star is „Mrigasira‟ (Rohini?) and Kishna‟s is Rohini. Both incarnations
took place more or less at one place of Zodiac in the sign of Taurus. Kishna‟s
yogic philosophy and the path of devotion has ot been promoted as that of
Dattatreya. Krishna preached yogic philosophy to Prince Arjun through Gita
(when Arjuna forgot Gita in course of time, Krishna repeated, but we do not
know to what extent Arjun was benefited) and to Uddhava but to none else.
What interests here is that while one is bestowing the power of Yoga, the Other
is passing on the benefit. This is a divine secret. Down the ages, as
personification of Srimannarayana / Sri Maha Vishnu, Dattatreya under the
asterism of Mrigasira (Rohini?) took birth and assimilated in Him, the Divine
Force from both the abodes of Rudra (Orion) and Prajapathi Brahma (On His
either side) and became a Trinity, having a prominent place in Zodiac. After a
long time thereafter, Sri Krishna took birth, and disclosed that Divine Force from
the same place. „Yoga Maya‟ is within Dattatreya, whereas this “Maya” („Maya‟ is
the Samvit, the primary intelligence of Vishnu, being in feminine form is called
“Maya”) estranged herself from Krishna and descended along with Him into
creation, but she was totally under His control. It is because of this, He utilized
her as and when required and relinquish her into nature after utilization. It is not
so in Dattatreya‟s case. Yoga Maya has always been with Him. Dattatreya‟s path
of yoga is symbolic to ancient traditions – whereas Krishna‟s, a progressive one.
This is a worthy path of perfected yoga. Those who endeavour this new method
will have an option of either utilizing the power of yoga or to keep it active in
nature. The intricacies in the ancient traditional path of yoga to retain the
acquired Yoga Power have been simplified and the living being need not have to
struggle. This difficulty is removed by Krishna‟s incarnation. If the pursuers of
Yoga realize the differences between these two, their struggle to achieve the
power of yoga will be effortless.
The perceptibility of yoga knowledge taught by Sri Krishna is possible only
when “Bhagwadgita” is deeply studied to its minutest detail. This secret brought
out in the book “Srimadbhagavata Prakasam” by Master E.K. will enable us to
understand to what extent Dattatreya‟s Yoga, during Krishna‟s incarnation, had
progressed.
“There are three kinds of yoga – Jnana Yoga, Karma Yoga and Bhakti
Yoga (Yoga of knowledge, the yoga of selfless action and the yoga of devotion).
The first one “Jnana Yoga‟ must compulsorily be learnt by one and all. We will
find various paths of yoga in this – Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, physical body
disciplines, conditioning five sense organs, Kshetra Kshetrajna Vibhava yoga
etc.. The most desirable necessity of „Jnana Yoga‟ is the second one „Karma
Yoga‟. The kind of relationship one should have with others will be accomplished
here. Mainly, Sankhya Yoga, Jnanavijnana Yoga and Akshara ParaBrahma Yoga
will be taught here. With this, the rarest opportunity of seeing the „Viswa Rupani‟
(Universal Form of the Supreme Being (GOD)) will be realized. The next worthy
seeing yoga is “Bhakti Yoga”. This is not related to a personal endeavour. It is a
state of seeing, just like a spectator by letting oneself in „Sanyasa Yoga‟ (called
„Virajamu‟) after surrendering everything with a mind of selfless sacrifice
“Savadharman Parothyajyamanekam Saranam Vraja”, Gita says. Patanjali also
said that total surrender before Eswar results in attainmet of „Yoga‟. Eswar exists
as „Atman‟ in every being. Gitacharya hinted that knowing the truth of existence
of Eswar In innumerable beings mean that He is „Bhutha Maheswar” i.e., Eswar‟s
omnipresence. Such a person is unconcerned with good and bad in the world.
His „Sathkarma‟ (good deeds) alone corrects him. This process continues without
any link to this existence. The dead or actions will have no impact on the
existence. All the duties stand performed in the usual way. But they are not
performed by us. In this state, the „Atman‟ gets united with Divine Power. This
attainment is “Bhakthi Yoga”. The next one is “Purushothama Prapthi Yogam”.
There is nothing that the aspirator has to do at this stage. The identity of such
an individual spreads, becomes a worth seeing person and transforms into an
object that had been visited. A person who experiences this kind of
comprehensive yoga and later enters into physical body will become competent
to get rid of obstacles that come in the way of “Bhakti Yoga”. The knowledge of
yoga, as per Gita, expressed by Master E.K. Garu must be carefully analysed and
preserved in our hearts.
From what has been stated in myths, we see that Dattatreya born to the
sage couple Athri and Anasuya with the divine power of Lord Vishnu, had
subsequently assumed the attributes of Brahma and Rudra representing creation
and extinction through his brothers Chandra (Moon) and Durvasa (Rishi) and
manifested as a Trinity God associated with three Gurus (Sattva, Rajas and
Tamas). He is, thus, the origin of yogic philosophy. Since Dattatreya occupied
this position from times immemorial, we are able to have the benefit of that
philosophy today. Otherwise, the power of yoga, a permanent attachment of
Paramathma (Supreme Being) would not have come down to Earth, to be
available for us. This is an unexpected luck and unimaginable yoga to mankind,
made possible by Dattatreya‟s incarnation. At that time, Dattatreya, a Trinity
God, had established a prominent place for yoga in the Zodiac. After a long time
thereafter, Sri Krishna took birth at the same sign of Zodiac and fully utilized the
already available power for the objectives of the incarnation. Due to this reason,
His Yogis are said to represent His „Atman‟ and not that of His „Saguna Brahman‟
(Lord of the Universe-Ishwara).
In whom we live and move
At the outset, we must understand that Solar System is yoga knowledge.
Yoga knowledge is „ONE‟ only but yogas are many. Bhagvadgita talks about 18
yogas like Manthra Yoga, Japa Yoga, Laya Yoga, Hamsa Yoga etc. The root or
source for all yogas is „SUN‟.
“Emam Vivasvathe Yogam Prokthavanahamavyayam
Vivaswanmanave Praha Manurishvakave Braveeth”
“Sri Krishna said that He had in the past preached this indestructible
knowledge to the Sun and the Sun in turn passed on this knowledge to
Vaivaswatha Manuvu”.
All the activities carried out by the Sun reflect in yoga knowledge.
We are obtaining three forces from the sun who had imbibed all the
powers representing „Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu Gururdevo Maheswara‟.
The meaning of „Guru‟ is that he leads us to light from darkness. The
entire darkness in nature is eliminated by this light originating from the Sun.
Light does not denote just „illumination‟ only, it is also the source of information
on any subject. The Solar System is supplying us not only Light and Heat but
also giving us „Life‟. Scientists call this as „Bio‟ but it still needs further
comprehension.
Is there „life‟ in Nature and Planets? Will Sun rays produce water? Yes, it is
only Sun that produces water and responsible for rains. All waters on earth,
whether good / sacred or bad / dirty are taken to the sky by Sun (Heat) and
allows to rain at appropriate places. It is not mere water that the Sun is giving,
it is but „life‟ with the power of Sun. So, it is important to learn about Solar
System capable of giving Light, Heat and Life.
Indian Mythology tells us that the Sun uninterruptedly travels in the sky in
a chariot driven by seven horses. Human body is having seven glands
representing the seven horses with the Sun. The seven rays of the Sun are
related to the Seven Glands in the body and this connection exists in Nature
from its base and up to the Chakra of Vishnu (Sahasraram). These chakras are
not in our body but their related glands are present. Sahasrara gland is Pineal
gland (Gland of vertebrates situated above the third ventricle of the Brain) must
be having a connection with Sahasrara chakra. In case one could understand
this difference, then it will be possible to correlate the 7 planes, 7 globes, 7 sub-
globes, 7 rounds, 7 sub-rounds in the solar system with those 7 glands in human
body. In the language of yoga, they are Sahasrara, Aajna, Visuddhi, Anahata,
Manipuraka, Swadhistana and Mooladhara. The Sahasrara chakra is outside our
body and Sahasrara gland is in our body.
The 7 glands in our body (internal) and their relation to the outside
(external) chakras are as under:
Chakras and the Nervous System
All the parts of our body that are discharging their duties represent the
same or similar parts of the Sun. The cells which are functioning in our body, or
other cells elsewhere including those in planets represent the cells of the Sun
only.
The Seven Planets of the Sun also work just as the seven glands work in
our body. The Pineal and Anahatha glands etc. are also present in the Sun. A
gland is made up of physical cells and becomes a Power Centre. When the
process of unison of “Pindanda (micro) and Brahmanda (macro)” takes place,
there will be happiness and peace in the world.
In Satya Yuga, there was a perfect connection between Pindanda (micro)
and Brahmanda (macro). It is essential that we must keep this requirement in
mind irrespective of whether we do „Manthra Yoga‟ or practices „Soham‟. The
first principle to be followed in yoga. is the interaction between human body and
the Brahmandam (macro). As and when this link is established, you will realize
that it is only your “self” or “I” in contact with Brahmandam i.e. you are living by
utilizing the seven planets in your body and also that the Sun is doing the same
through you. It means IN WHOM WE LIVE AND MOVE.
“Akhanda Mandalakaram Vyaptham Yena Characharam
Yathpadam Darsitham Yena Thasmai Sree Guravenamaha”.

We cannot live conduct ourselves independently and cannot live in
isolation. You are a part of the entire solar system. The system is not one but
are many. The harmonious combination of „Pindanda (micro) and Brahmanda
(macro) is tied up with number 7, the root number of Nature. So, whatever
happens, it will be in multiples of seven (7x 7).
In the event of these seven planets given names of seven worlds, we call
them as Bhur, Bhuvah, Swah, Maha, Janah, Thapah and Satyam. The derivation
of the names find their roots in Buddhism for the reason that the incarnation of
Kalki is the combination of Buddha and Christ. In the words of Master EK, He
who brings Buddha and Christ together or He who joins the East with West will
be a Kalki incarnation. Kalki is not only already existing on this Earth now, but
was also a contemporary to all the other incarnations like Masthya, Kurma,
Varaha, Narasimha …… and Sri Krishna. Kalki is also known as “Nityavataram”
(permanent incarnation). In our Indian tradition, we acknowledge Dattatreya
Incarnation as „Nityavatara‟.
The Three Principles
Man is a complex being, and the rough division into body and soul is not
sufficient for scientific working. For the purposes of his evolution he exists upon
five of the seven planes of nature, and has sheaths or bodies built of the matter
of the lower of those planes, and principles or constituents within himself which
correspond to the higher.
The three principles in man are familiar to many under the names of
atma, buddhi and manas, which may be rendered into English as the spiritual
will, the intuitional love and the higher intelligence.
The figure and the diagram connected with it show the seven principles in
man and the planes of nature on which they exist.

The upper triangle, containing the first, second and third principles,
represents the ego or higher self in man, commonly called the soul, who in the
course of his long pilgrimage or evolution towards human perfection, takes many
incarnations, each of which is called a personality. The lower triangle is a
reflection of that higher one in the matter of the lower planes, and it forms with
the dense physical body the lower quaternary, which constitutes the personality,
and lasts through one incarnation. The evolution of man is really the
development of the ego or higher self, but in most people at the present stage of
human progress that ego may be described as still in his infancy; he has not yet
fully awakened to the positive and purposeful life of a man on his own planes,
nor has he realized what can be learnt through incarnation in the lower planes.
In course of time and many incarnations the three higher principles gradually
unfold themselves, and the man realizes more and more of the divinity which is
truly his.
Science behind creation
The physical matter of any cell will have 5 parts. The spiritual knowledge
teaches about what is visible to the eyes. Our Rishi‟s term this as „Darshanam‟.
Indian spiritualism dwells upon 6 (six) darshans
Our Rishis used the word “Thanmatra” to make use of the counter parts.
[„Matra‟ means a measuring scale]. Tanmatras are the primary principles of each
of the five pre-mordial elements – sound, light, smell, taste and touch.
Application of higher mind expedites understanding of „Tanmatras‟. Not much is
known about Aadi and Anupadaka. We will have some understanding from
„Aathma‟, also called as „Anandamaya Kosha‟ in this context. The feeling of
happiness comes from „Aathma‟.
„Panchikaranam‟ – is attribution to the five pre-mordial elements i.e.,
Physical Pridhvi, Astral Water, Mind Fire, Buddhi Wind, Aathma Sky.
The counterparts of the physical world are seen in the Astral Plane. We are
normally carried away by the impression that penance of Rishis is impeded by
Apsaras like Rambha and Urvasi etc. They, in fact represent a „Force or Power‟ in
feminine gender. The astral body itself is an obstruction to have uninterrupted
penance. You must, therefore, fight with astral body and eliminate such hurdles.
Agni (Fire) is a combination of three powers viz., Agni Suryas, Agni
Swathas and Agni Chaithans. These three powers of Agni are found placed above
the astral body. Yoga knowledge utilizes these three Agnis. The knowledge that
relates to the mind is couched in three Vedas and they deal mostly with Agni.
In spiritual knowledge, Agni is considered as „Purusha‟, a matter with
consciousness. Agni Chaitans means agni cells having consciousness. It is a vital
energy. This energy must be activated so that it draws the life force from the
Sun. The unison of both these forces depends mainly on yoga.
Putrakamesti Yagna to have children, varuna yagna to have rain etc. give
successful results only when Agni Chaitans in the sun are brought down and
joined with the Agni on Earth.
In Solar System, we learn that human body is combination of three Agnis.
Here, we may have to note another two kinds of Pitris (progenitors and
ancestors) connected in the Agni called “Barhishad” or those possessed of the
sacred fire. The scientists today recognize the progenitors with respect to their
„Genes‟. The genes do not have life but needs to be given life. This will have to
be done with Budhi (Vayu). The Vayu (wind) is found in five varieties in our
body. 1) Prana Vayu, 2) Samana Vayu, 3) Vyana Vyu, 4) Udaana Vayu and 5)
Apaana Vayu. As per modern science, there are 3 lobes on the right side of the
lungs and 2 lobes on the left side. It means that the air we inhale to fill the lungs
is divided into five portions. The transformation of these five lives into
„Panchagnis‟ is explained in Kattopanishath. This has a distinct name also i.e.,
„Nachakethagni‟. Is it not interesting to note that the five kinds of Fire are
accommodated in our body in the form of Vayu (air). The body (physical)
formation takes place when thse panch vayus are transformed into panch agnis.
It is said in our Upanishads that earth or pridhvi is born out of Akasa – Vayu –
Agni and Jalam. The primary principles of the primordial elements are useful to
create anything. Our Rishis said that the sky can be measured with „Vak‟ and we
can do whatsoever we want in the sky.
For Aakasa Tatva Use speech
For Vaayu Tatva Use touch
For Agni Tatva Use shape
For Jala Tatva Use taste
For Physical Tatva Use smell
We can derive from this that any transformation from Aakasa Tatva to
Physical Tatva should pass through the other three tatvas viz. Vayu-Agni-Jalam.
For e.g., take iron. In the first place, we must heat it (i.e., Agni), with the touch
(i.e., Vaayu) of heat, it melts to liquid form (i.e. Jala). Now, we can change it to
any shape we desire. This is the science behind creation and creation took place
in the same process. Agni Chaithans facilitates to change the physical atoms.
Agni Suryas is to change Jala Tatvam. The combination of Agni Suryans and Jala
Tatvam is called in vedic knowledge as “Mithra Varuna”. Agni Swathas and
kundalini is one and the same. These three flows of power are useful to change
our thoughts. The combined power of these three powers is integrated in “Aum”
and independently represented by Bhur, Buvaha and Swaha. To sum up the
Aakasa Tatva should be drawn with Vak, the Budhi with Agni Tatvam and with
Jala Tatvam towards astral body, so that the required changes could be brought
in the physical body.
Throughout nature there is no life without matter, and no matter without
life. Until recent years many scientific people thought that the life side of
creation extended only as far down as the vegetable kingdom, but nowadays it is
being recognized that it is not possible to draw a line anywhere and say: “Above
this things are living and conscious in various degrees, but below it there is only
dead matter.” The researches made by Prof. Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose of
Calcutta (recorded in his book Response in the Living and Non-Living) which
have won him the highest scientific honours and respect, show that such a line
simply does not exist, but that there is some degree of life in the tiniest grain of
sand. Some of his conclusions have been stated in brief and effective form in Dr.
Annie Besant‟s well-known work, A Study in Consciousness, in the following
words:
Professor Bose has definitely proved that so-called
“inorganic matter” is responsive to stimulus, and that the response is identical from metals, vegetables, animals, and-so far as experiment can be made-man.
He arranged apparatus to measure the stimulus applied, and to show in curves, traced on a revolving cylinder, the response
from the body receiving the stimulus. He then compared the curves obtained in tin and in other metals with those obtained from muscle, and found that the curves from tin were identical
with those from muscle, and that other metals gave curves of like nature but varied in the period of recovery.
Tetanus, both complete and incomplete, due to repeated shocks, was caused, and similar results accrued, in mineral as in
muscle. Fatigue was shown by metals, least of all by tin. Chemical reagents, such as drugs, produced on metals similar results to
those known to result with animals-exciting, depressing, and deadly.
A poison will kill a metal, inducing a condition of immobility, so that no response is obtainable. If the poisoned metal be taken in time, an antidote may save its life.
A stimulant will increase response, and as large and small doses of a drug have been found to kill and stimulate respectively,
so have they been found to act on metals. “Among such phenomena,” asks Professor Bose, “how can we draw a line of demarcation and say: „Here the physical process
ends, and there the physiological begins‟? No such barriers exist.”
Psychic experience add their testimony to this conclusion, and affirm that
without a shadow of doubt the same kind of life can be seen pulsating in the
body of a tiger or an oak tree or a fragment of mineral substance.
With every day, the identity between the animal and physical man, between the plant and man, and even between the
reptile and its nest, the rock, and man-is more and more clearly shown. The physical and chemical constituents of all being found
to be identical, Chemical Science may well say that there is no difference between the matter which composes the ox, and that which forms man. But the Occult doctrine is far more explicit. It
says: Not only the chemical compounds are the same, but the same infinitesimal invisible Lives compose the atoms of the bodies
of the mountain and the daisy, of man and the ant, of the elephant and of the tree which shelters it from the sun. Each particle-whether you call it organic or inorganic – is a Life.
