This is the AQAR prepared by IQAC of K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering,

Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli – 621 112, for the period of March 2017 to February

2018. This has been prepared under the direction of the Principal in accordance with

the National Assessment and Accreditation Council-Guidelines 2014, for the

Submission of Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of IQAC in Accredited

Institutions.

FOREWORD

I am happy to present the AQAR of K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering for the

period of March 2017 to February 2018 in accordance with the National Assessment and

Accreditation Council-Guidelines 2014, for the submission of Annual Quality Assurance Report

(AQAR) in Accredited Institutions.

The Establishment of IQAC has been made to progressively improve the quality of

higher education and setting up bench mark for customer delight. In this way, AQAR help us to

know our achievements and to maintain the same. The AQAR is useful for ensuring the timely,

efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial task.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical &

Electronics Engineering have been recognized as a Research center from Anna University,

Chennai. Our college has been certified for implementation of ISO 9001:2015 from TÜV SÜD

Switzerland. College has achieved the significant position at national level in teaching, research

and extension activities. The AQAR has been duly compiled and reported.

I thank all the members of the IQAC and every individual serving in K.Ramakrishnan

College of Engineering whose contributions have made this college to attain this stature and look

forward to the continued co-operation, advice and guidance from all sectors.

1.2 (i) Flexibility of the Curriculum: CBCS/Core/Elective option / Open options

❖ The electives are offered based on the Anna University syllabus.

❖ For IInd and IIIrd Year students, the Aptitude and Communication hours have

been added in regular timetable – 2 hours per Week.

❖ Students are permitted to undergo Industrial visit every year to acquire

knowledge and relationship with industry.
